1000-Lb Sistersco-starChris Combswas recently cleared for skin removal surgery, but he may come to regret the procedure. 44-year-old Chris made his television debut in 2020, alongside the beloved unscripted series. While the show focuses on the weight-loss journeys of sisters Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton, several of their other siblings also play major roles on the show, including Chris.
When he first started his weight-loss journey,Chris weighed over 450 pounds. Watching his famous sisters pursue their health and fitness goals inspired Chris to do the same. The journey hasn’t been easy, and he’s had his ups and downs. After receiving bariatric surgery, helost a significant amount of weight, which left him with a lot of loose excess skin. It Was A Big Success
After having bariatric surgery in 2022, Chris lost 150 pounds and weighed 300 pounds at his last weigh-in. His doctor,Dr. Eric Smith, posted an amazing before and after of Chris on Instagram in March. On one side is a photo of Chris before he lost weight, andon the right is a recent photo of Chris finishing a 5k run. When Chris stepped on a scale during a1000-lb Sistersseason 6 weigh-in, he was devastated to learn that he had plateaued.

He Wanted To Lose Much More Weight
During1000-lb Sistersseason 6, Chris weighed 299 pounds, so he had only lost 1 pound since his last weigh-in. Despite being disappointed by the setback,Chris lost an incredible 150 poundssince embarking on his weight-loss journey. Like several of his other siblings, Chris is desperate to remove all the excess skin left behind by his rapid weight loss and was devastated when his doctor said he wanted Chris to lose another 60 pounds first.

He Should Think Twice
Despite his plateau, Chris was able to get back on track. During a later episode of1000-lb Sistersseason 6, Chris saw a plastic surgeon who agreed to do the surgery if Chris lost another 20 pounds. ThoughChris is excited about skin removal surgery, it’s an expensive and painful procedure that comes with no guarantees.
