The images show Ford shooting an outdoor sequence in the town during a wintry day with snow on the ground, during which he is wearing a thick blue coat with a sheriff’s badge pinned to the lapel. What This Means For 1923 Season 2
The Wait Is Finally Coming To An End
While these images do not reveal much about the plot of the upcoming season of theYellowstonespinoff, they do highlight the fact thatproduction is well underway after several delaysthat prevented season 2 from premiering a year after season 1. These delays included the 2023 writers and actors strikes, during which both unions fought for fair pay from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. However, the fact that one of the show’s marquee stars is on set and in costume shows that the wheels are finally turning after a long wait.
The Writers Guild of America strike lasted from May 2 to June 03, 2025, while the Screen Actors Guild strike ran from July 14 through June 11, 2025.
At the time of writing, it’s still unknown when season 2 will debut and how long the hiatus between the1923season 1 finaleand the season 2 premiere is going to be. Although it is unknown how much more filming is left, other filming has already taken place in Texas earlier in the year, indicating thatthis Montana shoot may be taking place toward the end of production. Should this be the case and should the show follow the season 1 production timeline, it is possible that it could premiere on Paramount+ as early as Winter 2025.
