What The Coopers' Return Means For Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage

There’s Likely A Big Reason Why The Coopers Are There

Young Sheldondidn’t do many holiday-themed episodes, not even Christmas, despite Mary being a devout Christian. Given this, having a Thanksgiving episode forGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriageis a good change. Still, it’s unclear why the Coopers need to celebrate the occasion with the McAllisters when Mary and Missy still live in Sheldon’s childhood home just across town. The reason is likely because ofGeorge’s unexpected death. With Sheldon out of town and the family still grieving,Mary may not be particularly excited about the upcoming holiday, even though Missy is with her.

The behind-the-scenes video features the cast having fun during the break in filming, but expect that there will be some kind of snafu during the upcoming Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage holiday episode.

This could prompt Georgie and Mandy to invite the Coopers to Thanksgiving. Since the McAllisters are better off financially, they are able to host an additional four people for their holiday meal. Meemaw and Dale’s invitations also make sense, considering how much she’s done for Georgie, Mandy, and Cece. Our Take On Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’s Thanksgiving Episode

It’s Great To See Mary & Meemaw Back

It’s always good to see the Cooper family afterYoung Sheldon’s ending. BeforeGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriagewas confirmed, I was adamant that CBS shouldrebrand the original show toThe Coopersand continue with its storytelling format, since Sheldon was no longer the center of its attention. That said, Chuck Lorre and his team wanted to do something different, resulting in the multi-cam show that isGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

Beyond this episode, however, I’m curious to see if we’ll see Meemaw and Mary again.Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriagealready expanded Missy’s role, which means that she will appear in more outings moving forward. However, it would be better if Georgie’s grandmother and mother got more involved in the sequel as well to keep the connective tissue between the two shows' stories strong.
