All six episodes ofApple Cider Vinegarare now available on Netflix, and if anyone craves more after finishing all of them, they can watch five similar streaming shows. The drama limited series, created by Samantha Strauss, is based on Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano’s 2017 bookThe Woman Who Fooled the World, depicting Belle Gibson’s scams. Gibson said she had terminal brain cancer that was magically cured to launch her platform. However, people eventually caught on toGibson’s lies, which are all chronicled inApple Cider Vinegar.

Gibson racked up a huge following onInstagramwith her miraculous story. She claimed a healthy diet had cured her brain cancer, although it was allegedly fatal. Then, Gibson used her platform to publish a cookbook and launch a recipe app, profiting from all her newfound opportunities. In 2015, though, Donelly and Toscano exposed Gibson’s truth — she never had brain cancer. Gibson promptly sat down withThe Australian Women’s Weeklyto explain her side of the story. Ten years later,Netflix released the “tru-ish” showApple Cider Vinegar, based on Gibson’s real life, but it’s not the only series with similar tales.
