Ryder: “I don’t think I’ve ever bonded with someone like I did with Jenna. It was insane. And it did feel a lot like I was talking to a younger version of myself, but she’s just like a thousand times cooler. Because we both have the same almost religious reverence for film. She is a cinephile, and we just can talk movies for years. We just bonded so intensely, and that was incredibly helpful.
And I do think she was able to bring her own thing to Astrid, which I thought was really, really beautiful. She definitely has the gene, but she also has all this other stuff going on. I was really just blown away by her.”

Ortega: “I would say it was pretty meaningful. That’s so wonderful and sweet to hear because, obviously, it feels very real and happened almost instantly. It’s weird; sometimes you look at someone, and you just know. I feel like we had that, and I could have never anticipated getting the incredible opportunity to work with her, let alone to get to know and love her. And she’s so easy to love.
It’s very special to me, and I can’t really compare it to anything else that I’ve had either. There were just so many more similarities than I could have imagined - even coincidentally. Everything kind of fell into place, and it was rare.”
