This incredibleStar Warsfan comic imaginesAhsoka Tanomeeting Luke Skywalker for the first time, and it’s absolutely beautiful—and painful. Ahsoka Tano was introduced inStar Wars: The Clone Wars, and although she was a latecomer toStar Warsmovies and TV shows, she has become crucial totheStar Warstimeline. In fact, as Anakin Skywalker’s former Jedi Padawan, Ahsoka’s arc proved essential to flesh out the prequel trilogy, especially Anakin’s fall. However, one key Ahsoka moment still hasn’t been shown on screen yet: Ahsoka meeting Luke for the first time.

Yet, this incredibleStar Warsfan comic imagines what the initial meeting between Ahsoka Tano and Luke Skywalker looked like, and it’s truly perfect. The comic, posted byprincepsedon Reddit, beautifully captures not only Ahsoka’s affection for Anakin’s son but also her intense conflict over Anakin and all he had done.

Star Wars' Latest Ahsoka Retcon Could Totally Rewrite Return Of The Jedi

A recent Ahsoka Tano retcon from Star Wars Outlaws could have massive implications for Luke’s Return of the Jedi story and for Star Wars more broadly.

Ahsoka Tano And Luke Skywalker Meeting Still Has To Be Shown On-Screen

Yes, Ahsoka and Luke came together on screen inThe Book of Boba Fett, but it was obvious that they had met before. For one, they were clearly comfortable with one another and spoke and interacted as though they were friends. This was especially clear with Ahsoka’s comment that Luke was so much like his father, which heavily hinted that they had discussed Anakin before.

This means thatLuke and Ahsoka meeting for the very first time still hasn’t been shown on-screen inStar Wars. As thisStar Warscomic makes clear, this almost certainly was a very emotional moment for both of them. Although Luke had spoken to Obi-Wan Kenobi about his father, Obi-Wan wasn’t as forthcoming about Anakin, nor was he nearly as warm. He spoke of Anakin being a good friend, but he revealed very little else about Anakin. In fact, arguably, Obi-Wan revealed more about Anakin’s character to young Leia inObi-Wan Kenobithan he ever did with Luke.

Luke was therefore undoubtedly hungry for more information about his father, and the unique bond Ahsoka had shared with Anakin would have been incredible for him to learn about. For Ahsoka, she likely had no idea that Anakin had returned to the light side of the Force before his death, as this comic suggests. It’s also unclear at what point inAhsoka’s timelineshe learned that Padmé hadn’t died pregnant.Perhaps it wasn’t until she heard that a young pilot named Luke Skywalker had destroyed the Death Star that Ahsoka learned Anakin’s son lived.

Ahsoka Tano

The apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano was an accomplished Padawan who served during the Clone Wars. Ahsoka left the Jedi after she became disillusioned with the Jedi Council, but returned to serve in the Siege of Mandalore at the end of the Clone Wars. She survived Order 66, becoming a Rebel agent during the Dark Times of the Empire’s reign, and her adventures continue in the New Republic era. Ahsoka was last seen stranded in a distant galaxy, having failed to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn’s return.

Hopefully,Star Warswill eventually bring this initial meeting to life in an upcoming show or movie. Given how much emotional weight Anakin’s story still carries, this is a moment that must be shared with audiences. While it may not be exactly the same, thisStar Warsfan comic offers a perfect example of what the very first meeting betweenAhsoka Tanoand Luke Skywalker could look like.
