Baldur’s Gate 3has always welcomed custom content and now that official modding support has been available for some time, creators are beginning to showcase some exciting new adventures. The announcement that Larian Studios was finally finished developing its massiveDungeons & DragonsRPG shocked many, but it also made room for fans to take a stab at making the game their own. Many inventive mods are already available for the game, but dedicated users are now releasing add-ons that go above and beyond mere balance tweaks.
Sharing their creation toNexus Mods, alongside a trailer onYouTube, creatorSquallyDaBeanz posted the first chapter of their expansive “Forsaken” modthat uses the mechanics ofBaldur’s Gate 3to tell an original story set within theWorld of Warcraftuniverse. The current build of the mod, which is described as a “teaser level”, only includes the “Deathknell” region,a recreation of the Tirisfal Glades starting zone inWorld of Warcraft. As for when the rest of “Forsaken” will arrive, SquallyDaBeanz has yet to lock in a release timeline but players can expect more content in the coming months.

What’s Currently Included In Forsaken?
And What Lies Ahead?
For a free mod “Forsaken” already features a healthy amount of content forBaldur’s Gate 3players to enjoy. The first chapter boasts a new storyline told over five original quests that take place in a specially-designed town. The hamlet features a range of new NPCs, each with unique dialogue, as well as a place for the party to set up camp. There’s even a dungeon that includes plenty of combat encounters for those looking for some more action.
SquallyDaBeanz’s vision for “Forsaken” is undoubtedly grand as the creator has already listed plenty of exciting features that they want toadd to the mod. These include everything from additional merchants and non-essential NPCs, to Skill Checks, Inspiration Points, and even secretsdotted about the landscape. It’s an ambitious plan but one should bear in mind that all of this will likely take a long time to come to fruition.
