Below Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5 is well underway, and I’m convinced that Danni Warren and Diana Cruz were hired by producers specifically to ruinChief Stew Daisy Kelliher’s charter season. Daisy endured difficulty in her personal life onBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 4 due to her tumultuous love triangle with formerChief Engineer Colin Macraeand problematic First Mate Gary King. She hooked up with Gary off-camera before season 4 began, and he proceeded to make her boatmance with Colin rocky.

While Gary and Daisy’s friendship remains precarious inBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5, they seem poised to work well together throughout the charter season. With Daisy’s love interest storylines resolved, her professional life aboard the Parsifal III could be the next target. I think Diana and Danni were hired to test Daisy’s skills as Chief Stew and potentially spin her into a villainousBelow Deck Sailing Yachtcastmember. They’re too sensitive and incompetent to have been the strongest choices for crew members on Captain Glenn Shephard’s esteemed sailing yacht.

Diana & Danni Are Incompetent

They Don’t Know How To Make Cocktails

Danni and Diana have appeared to under-perform since the beginning ofBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5, and I think it has to be because they’re producer plants. How else would they have gotten this far in the casting process?Diana, in particular, has been resistant to tasks delegated by Daisy.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

In fact, I knew there would be trouble when Daisy mentioned to Diana and Danni that they wouldn’t be ranking the interior crew. Instead, everyone would take turns doing tasks. This functioned well in previous seasons, but Daisy has her work cut out for her with Danni and Diana. Her entitlement and inability to complete basic tasks knows no bounds.

After the second charter,Diana started feuding with Daisyafter walking away from a bartending lesson that Daisy arranged to improve service, leaving Danni to manage on her own. Diana’s decision to abandon the task led to frustration, especially since she had previously struggled to make basic cocktails, such as margaritas. Her apparent lack of responsibility led Daisy to call her out for being incapable.

Daisy has been shocked by Danni and Diana’s laziness, incompetence, and hypersensitivity.

Diana subsequently got called out by a guest in the third charter for neglecting to put the appropriate number of coffee beans in his espresso martini. She got moody with him, but luckily, the primary found her reaction funny. However, I’m certain it could’ve significantly impacted the crew’s tip if she actually upset the guests with her unprofessional commentary.

Danni, while not as overtly defiant, has also been involved in the drama by siding with Diana in their push-back against Daisy’s authority. Diana and Danni’s reluctance to cooperate fully with their Chief Stew has caused tension within the interior team and might force Daisy to be the villain. However,Danni and Diana are poised to have issues with each other as well. Neither one wants to clean the cabins, preferring to perform service tasks. I’ve watchws them argue about who has to do the dirtier work and force Daisy to delegate, leaving both of them unhappy.

Danni Cares More About Flirting Than Her Job

She’s Been Hitting On Keith And Gary

Danni and Diana seem lazy and incompetent, butDanni has added another layer to Daisy’s issues in the season, leading to my belief that they’re producer plants meant to stir up drama.Danni is constantly hitting on Deckhand Keith Allen, even when he seems disinterested or disconcerted. Keith just wants to do his job, and while he acknowledged that Danni is attractive, he said in confessionals that he likes to get to know people and become friends before engaging in romantic relationships with them.

When Danni didn’t get the attention she anticipated or desired from Keith aboard the Parsifal III inBelow Deck Sailing Yacht, even flirting with him within earshot of guests in the third charter, she drunkenly pivoted her attention to Gary. AfterGary’s sexual misconduct allegationsand years of problematic situations fueled by alcohol, there’s no doubt that Gary’s weakness is women. Danni seemed to capitalize on this weakness by shifting her attention to Gary, which upset Keith.

The relationship between Danni and Gary is still unfolding onBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5.

It’s unclear exactly what happened between Danni and Gary in the alcohol-soaked aftermath of the crew night out in the previousBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5 episode, but they at least kissed. Daisy was left to comfort Keith, who may have liked Danni more than he let on. However, Danni would be smart to focus more on her work ethic and professional life over flirting with the men onboard. Since Daisy has removed herself from the romantic equation this season, producers brought in a flirty woman to stir the pot while still keeping Daisy involved in the drama.

Will Danni & Diana Ruin Daisy’s Charter Season?

Daisy Will Always Come Out On Top

Given their behavior thus far this season, I really think that Danni and Diana could ruin Daisy’s charter season, but the seasoned Chief Stew will always prevail. There’s no way anyone, not even Danni and Diana, could turn Daisy into a villain. She’s simply way too likeable. Daisy is highly skilled, professional, no-nonsense, and possesses a great sense of humor.

Danni and Diana are whiny, entitled, and bad at their jobs. Even the cocktail service for the crew after the second charter was designed to be fun, not chastise Danni and Diana for their lack of knowledge. Instead, they griped about work.

Similarly,Daisy doesn’t care whether Danni hooks up with Garyor not because she no longer has feelings for him. In fact, she exposed her vulnerabilities in the season premiere by calling out Gary for his lack of friendship - he didn’t want to bury the hatchet. I’ve noticed Daisy just wants to be friends with Gary again and avoid any drama. If anything, Daisy will have to establish rank again aboard the Parsifal III to deal with Danni and Diana’s squabbling, but she won’t be afraid to do that if she has to.

With Colin’s departure in the rearview mirror, Daisy is the fan-favorite onBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5. I feel Danni and Diana are unlikely to rise to her level in the fandom if they continue to complain and undermine her authority. While Daisy might have a rocky season ahead of her as Chief Stew, Danni and Diana won’t be able to ruin her charter season. Daisy will come out on top.
