A general rule of thumb is that a movie needs to earn somewhere between two and two-and-a-half times its budget to be considered profitable. While there are manifold exceptions to this rule, it is quite a feat that theIt Ends with Usadaptationwill have managed to pass the two-and-a-half milestone within a single weekend when two of the movies that outgrossed it weren’t able to do so.
