In chapter #10 of the originalBorutomanga, Momoshiki explicitly tells Boruto thathe used his Byakugan to see into the future. He stated that he had already foreseen what awaited Naruto’s son, warning him that everything would be taken away from him one day. Years later, during chapter #13 of theTwo Blue Vortexseries, Kashin Koji explained to the Uzumaki heir that he could also see into his future, thanks to his Prescience ability. Despite their powerful abilities to peek into the destiny of an individual,Boruto and Koji were genuinely shocked when Kurama returned.
When the presence of the Nine-Tails was first confirmed in chapter #9, both Boruto and Kashin Koji acted as if this was a new development. This implies that the Tailed Beast did not make an appearance in any of the possible futures Prescience could reveal. While it is possible that Momoshiki could have been hiding the inevitable transformation of Himawari into a Jinchuriki, this seems unlikely. The Otsutsuki spirit has made it his life’s mission to mock and torment Naruto’s son as much as possible. He would not have missed the opportunity to let him know how much danger Himawari would be in the future.
If the return of Kurama is indeed something neither of the series’ seers could predict, this might hint at the existence of an external force having joined the fight against Jura. Kashin Koji himself told Boruto that in all the timelines he was able to see, thanks to his abilities,the powerful and conniving Sentient God Treessucceeded in destroying the planet. It is possible that the Tailed Beasts,tasked by the Sage of Six Paths to protect the world, decided to interfere in the confrontation between the Shinobi Forces and Jura’s group.
The Sage Of Six Paths Himself Could Be The One Behind Kurama’s Return
Hagoromo Has Already Fought To Defend the Planet In The Past
Among the forces that guide the world of theNarutofranchise, one of the most powerful and benevolent is the Sage of Six Paths. This wise member of the Otsutsuki clan has been protecting Earth for many centuries, preventing disasters from befalling humanity. Hagoromo is better known for helping Naruto and Sasuke stop Madara and his mother, Kaguya, from successfully utilizing the Infinite Tsukuyomi to put everyone in the world under a permanent illusion.The Sage of Six Paths is considered a deity inside the world of the series.
Hagoromo is one of the few members of the Otsutsuki clan to transcend the mortal world and ascend into a higher plane of existence, like Shibai, the origin of the Shinjutsu used by Koji to predict the future. This means that he has many abilities that can influence the course of the world. As the creator of the Tailed Beasts, it would also make sense for him to have a say in what form they are reborn. Since the reappearance of Kurama was not foreseen in any of the possible futures Kojin reviewed, there is a high likelihood thatHagoromo himself willed the being to inhabit Himawari.
This may be the Sage’s way to aid humanity in their battle against the Sentient God Trees. By giving them back one of the most powerful spirits in existence, their odds of winning are increased significantly. If Hagoromo is indeed working in secret to help humans, the possibility of new Jinchuriki making an appearance increases. It may be time for the Tailed Beasts to once again fight to protect the planet their creator loved so much.
The truth behind Kurama’s rebirth and the future Koji foresaw with his ability are almost definitely going to be explored further in future chapters ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortex. Bringing back Hagoromo to aid the new generation of ninjas to save their world could become an amazing tribute to the original series. It could also serve as a way to incorporate the Tailed Beasts back into the story, as these beloved creatures have been mostly ignored for many years.
