Spells are an important part of combat inCat Quest III, so much so that you will find your first one within minutes of starting the game. However, there are nine other spells to find and swap between, so you will have a lot of variety and choices to make as you progress. The spells are all fairly different, and some of them are more powerful than others.

There are many differentweapons inCat Quest III, butspells can also be considered a powerful tool and weapon in the game. There are fun ways to mix and match powers and spells with weapons to give you a lot of benefits. Having various elemental options available to you at all times can make it much easier to take on different types of enemies and even defeat bosses more powerful than you are ready for.

Cat Quest 3 Review: More Of The Same, Improved

Cat Quest 3, Pirates of the Purribean, adds pirate ships and more humor to the epic adventure of the series while continuing its overarching story.

All Spells In Cat Quest III

Effects & Locations

There are awide variety of spells in the game, starting as early as the first few minutes of gameplay. You will be able to use them immediately, giving you an edge over the magic-less enemies. The first one is the Flamepurr spell, and when upgraded, it can last you most of the game. It isespecially useful in the early-game dungeon known as the Ice Pi-rat Hideout.

You will learn how to use spells quite quickly, but at the beginning, you willonly have one mana to cast a spell, which can be refilled by attacking enemies. To get more than one mana, you will have to explore and find special interaction points, one of which is near Orion Ruins, where you will enter a dream state and be given more mana. That will allow you to cast the nine spells you have left to find, and they are all listed below:

How To Upgrade Spells In Cat Quest III

Mage Bonney And The Magic Bone

All spells can be upgraded inCat Quest III. It can be difficult to get enough resources to upgrade them, but by exploring the world and progressing the narrative, you should be able to fully upgrade your favorites. If you think there are not enough to get to the end for all of them, you might want tolook at the table above and decide which are your favorites, then save your resources for those. However, some later game spells will be given to you upgraded already.

Spells can beupgraded from level one to level three. The resources you are looking for are purple crystals that will usually be given in the same way other resources are. Although, it seems to be harder to tell when you get them and how many you receive at a time. It sometimes seems like they just appear in your inventory with no consistency. However, you will get them byopening chests, defeating enemies, and progressing the game.

To upgrade your spells, you will need:

This can feel costly when you do not know how many crystals you can get for various things, but you should be able toget close to two fully upgraded spells by midgameif you focus on two, especially if one of them is received as a level two spell. This will make your spells and their effects more powerful, which can be further increased by trinkets like theMagical Glove or the Magical Purse, which can refill your mana faster or give you a free spell.

Mage Bonney In Cat Quest 3

Completing Her Quest

The last spell will require you to complete Bonney’ssidequest inCat Quest III.There are several steps, but you do not necessarily have to follow them in order. You can see all the steps inYouTuber 100% Guides videoif you need a visual representation, but it isoverall fairly simple.

Most of the process will happen naturally by story progression, as you willhave to get to the Infinity Tower and continue to return to Mage Bonneyand talk to her. Otherwise, the main thing you have to do is find and return the voodoo doll to her, which is found near Sunset Isles. The other optional thing you will have tocomplete is the Twin Castles Dungeon, again returning to Bonney after it is completed.

This will give you the final spell you need to get the Spellmewster Trophy (or Achievement) and you can revel in your magical prowess inCat Quest III.
