Dr. Stone Shares First Real Look at Its Final Season

First announced back in December 2023,Dr. Stone Science Futureis set to release in January 2025, with the exact release date yet to be revealed. Season 4 will be split into three cours and is all but set to wrap upDr. Stone’s story with the latest trailer reigniting the excitement surrounding the series in classic Senku fashion.

The trailer is packed with many exciting moments, from Senku’s arrival in San Francisco to the group’s tryst with the local alligators as well as the fearsome yet charming Stanley, whose design could not have been done more justice. While the trailer does include some wholesome moments like Senku and his crew trying burgers again,Stanley and Xeno’s dramatic introductions are easily the biggest highlight, with Xeno in particular being painted in quite a foreboding light with only a few shadowy glimpses and a close up of his shiny clawed fingers.

Besides the excellent new trailer,Dr. Stone’sofficial X handle has also released a new stunning key visual featuring Ryusui, Gen, Senku, Chrome, and Ukyo lined up under a spotlight with Dr. Xeno and Stanley looming intimidatingly in the shadows behind them with rather nefarious expressions.

Will Season 4 Be Able to Wrap Up Dr. Stone’s Story?

Impossible as it may seem at first glance, season 4 may indeed successfully wrap upDr. Stone’s story. Season 2 ofDr. Stoneadapts the manga roughly up to chapter #142, setting the stage for the New America City Arc. This leaves just under 90 chapters for the fourth season to adapt, which given the existing pace of the anime, is quite doable with three cours. If anything, the grand finale of the series could perhaps be adapted into a movie instead.

Nonetheless, season 4 ofDr. Stonehas plenty of exciting developments in store as Senku and his science gang finally delve into the truth about the petrification and journey across the world as they prepare for their voyage into space.
