Among these revelations, the seriesexplained that the Namekian race was not originally from Universe 7, rather from the Demon realm. This shocking twist explains many oddities about this cherished species. Though this revelation may have surprised fans more familiar with theZera ofDragon Ball, fans ofSupermay not have been nearly as surprised. This revelation seems to have been planned years in advance, as proven by a small detail found inDragon Ball Superchapter 69.

Dragon Ball Hinted At This Long Before Daima
The Namekians Were Revealed To Not Be Originally From Universe 7
Chapter 69 of theDragon Ball Supermanga depicts a group of young Namekians learning aboutthe history of their race’s Dragon Balls. One of the planet’s elders explains that every planet that holds one of its kind can create their own wish-granting orbs. When asked about the possibility of other Namekians living on unknown planets, the teacher replies that it is highly likely. He goes on to reveal that their race was not originally from Universe 7, as they moved to it from another realm. At the time, this seemed like a curious detail about the Namekians.
Dragon Ball Daima Finally Explains One Of Super’s Biggest Plot Holes
Dragon Ball Daima finally explains how Supreme Kai and Kibito defuse, but also rewrites established Dragon Ball canon in the process.
Nonetheless, with the release ofDragon Ball Daimaepisode 1, this once innocuous detail went on to become a subtle foreshadowing of the Namekian’s origin. The latest anime of the franchise reveals that these beloved aliens were once inhabitants of the Demon realm was likely planned years in advance. The fact that this future twist was introduced in secret without alerting fans proves how much thought and care is put into the franchise.

Daima’s New Namekian Lore Makes King Piccolo More Interesting
The Original Main Villain Might Have Been A Pure Namekian
Namekian’s coming from the Demon realm also makes Demon King Piccolo,Dragon Ball’sfirst true threat and surprisingly successful villain, much more interesting. In the past, this cruel tyrant was considered an oddity among his race, being a Namekian who resembled more of a monster than an alien. Nonetheless, with Namekians originating from the Demon realm, it is possible that King Piccolo was more like the original members of his species than his peers. His evil tendencies, sharp fangs, and monstrous strength could have been traits of the Namekians who lived in the Demon realm in the past.
Part of King Piccolo’s evil is undoubtedly due to being the evil half of the Nameless Namekian, but the revelation that Namekians come from the Demon Realm could explain why the Nameless Namekian had such a nasty side to him in the first place.
Dragon Ball Daimawill likely continue expanding the lore of this beloved franchise as its story continues. The fact that such a small detail from episode 1 gives new meaning to one of the series’ most iconic races proves that its plot has been carefully crafted.Dragon Ball Daimahas the potential to become a fan-favorite entry of Goku’s amazing adventure.
