Warning: Spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima, Episode #15

Dragon Ball Daimahas mentioned several times that there’s an ancient Demon Realm artifact of immense power known as the Evil Third Eye, and Gomah has sought after it since the very first episode. Now, that dangerous artifact is in his possession, and that fact could mean big trouble for Goku.

The Third Eye was an artifact that was used by the Demon Kings of old, but it was lost during the rule of Abura. This episode revealed that the artifact becoming lost was no coincidence, but instead part of a scheme by Dabura to take out his father and become the new Demon King. Dabura had the artifact stolen and intended to retrieve it later, but the thief was killed unexpectedly while hiding it, leaving its location unknown. The unsuspecting Hybis had picked up the artifact years later and attached it to his belt, thinking it looked cool. Gomah spotted the Third Eye on his belt, and demanded it be brought to him immediately by Degesu.

The Third Eye is Revealed

The Legendary Artifact Was With the Heroes All Along

As previously speculated, the eye on Hybis' beltwas indeed the lost Third Eye. Dabura had ordered it taken to the Third Demon World to be hidden, but never learned of its location. Hybis just happened upon it while out and about one day, and has had it ever since, not knowing of its power. Gomah was shocked to see it, but quickly seized the opportunity to claim it for his own before Goku’s group could identify its potential. It’s said in this episode that the Third Eye gave its user phenomenal magical power, allowing them to lay waste to huge areas and defeat nearly any opponent.

When combined with the already substantial power of a Demon King like Abura or Gomah, the Third Eye made them practically untouchable;that’s why Dabura had to get the Third Eyeout of the picture before he could overthrow his father and take power over the Demon Realm. The fact that this dangerous artifact is now in Gomah’s hands, exchanged for a goofy-looking hat of all things, means that Gomah could use its power for himself, making him a far more formidable foe than he already is.

Will an Empowered Gomah be as Deadly as He Seems?

Gomah’s Power With the Third Eye Could Be a Problem for Goku

It’s been made clear throughoutDaimathat Gomah is quite afraid of Goku and friends since they defeated Buu, and Buu was so powerful that no one in the Demon Realm, including himself, could possibly defeat him. That suggests Goku was already stronger than Gomah, but with the Third Eye in his possession, that could all change. Gomah was already said to specialize in magical power, so enhancing that power further could make him even more powerful than Buu. There’s also a chance the Third Eye could be employed by another character, like Degesu (who took it from Hybis), or even the Majins Kuu and Duu.

One thing is clear, however: nothing good can come of the Third Eye being in Gomah’s hands, and that sets up the end ofDragon Ball Daimaquite well.
