This imposing warrior brings out the best traits of each of his components, blending perfectly the designs of Gohan and Trunks, considered by many assome of the best in the series. The clothes of these powerful fighters are combined into a stylish yet versatile outfit, resembling Trunk’s clothes but with Gohan’s signature colors elevating the design, perfectly adorned by a pair of Potara earrings.

Nonetheless, Trunks’ personality can be observed in the illustration, as the pose this fused fighter has adapted is almost identical to his iconic battle stance. The artist made sure to include a sharp blade for Gohanks to take down his enemies with a weapon. DBSKAKERU1 created a warrior that honors the legacy of Gohan and Trunks while maintaining the traits that make them so beloved.

Yabuki’s Design Has Impressed Dragon Ball Fans for Decades
In 1995, as a part of a competition held by theWeekly Shonen Jumpmagazine, Yabuki, who would later become one of the most famous manga authors in the world, submitted an originalDragon Ballcharacter. His astonishing creation wasthe hypothetical fusion between Gohan and his pupil, Future Trunks. The character was so well-designed that it was awarded the magazine’s Cool Prize. Years later, this warrior would be made canon in a slightly different way, withthe official version of Gohan and Trunk’s fusionbeing featured in theDragon Ball Heroesspin-off.
While the canon Gohanks’ is beloved by many fans, not everyone was convinced by his design, as the character’s looks seldom resemble the warriors who created him. Another important distinction is that the canon combined warrior was created via the iconic Fusion Dance, making his power level significantly lower than his non-official counterpart. Both versions of Gohanks have become important and cherished parts of this beloved franchise. Still, most fans who have seen the image agree that Yabuki and DBSKAKERU1’s version better honors the amazing characters who brought it to life.
