Sprinting is an essential ability for all players in football, but using controlled sprints at the right time can decide games inEA Sports FC 25.Previously in the series, players could either jog or sprint and that was it. While a few moves were made to try and fit in between the two, none were effective until the introduction last year of controlled sprints. It is once again a feature ofEA Sports FC 25and all players should know how and when to execute it.
If you hold down the sprint button inEA Sports FC 25,your player will accelerate and then go as fast as they can. While most of the time this is the best option, it can lead to your player losing control of the ball as they push it out in front of themselves into space. In comparison, controlled sprint lets you move quickly, buthave greater control of the ball, allowing you to protect it from thebest defensive players inEA Sports FC 25.

How To Use Controlled Sprint
Keeping Control Of The Ball At Speed In EA Sports FC 25
To execute a normal sprint inEA Sports FC 25you only need to press and hold one button, with it also being the same for a controlled sprint. OnPlayStation you need to hold R1 and on Xbox hold RB,whilst using your left stick to control the direction you move in.
Press and hold R1

Xbox
Press and hold RB
This can be executed in any scenario when you are in possession of the ball and acts as a great option in between sprinting and jogging. The best players to use for this for arethe fastest players inEA Sports FC 25who also have great dribbling stats, such as Vinícius Júnior.
Players with the Speed Dribbler, Fast Break, or Technical PlayStyles will see the biggest benefits of controlled sprints.
In certain situations, controlled sprints will seeyour player shield the ball from an opponent, making it very hard for them to get it back. It increases your player’s control over the ball and allows you to do accurate turns when dribbling, which would not be possible when using the normal sprint. This is especially useful when dribbling in and around the box, as you can still accelerate away from players in tight spaces, whilst maintaining control of the ball.
While normal sprinting remains the best option when you have lots of open space in front of you, controlled sprinting allows much greater control to weave in and out of players in tight spaces inEA Sports FC 25.From my time playing in Ultimate Team so far, not many players make the most of controlled sprint, meaning if you learn how and when to use it you will have an edge on the field.
