Harvey leaning in to kiss Donna in Suits

“In the original pilot, we had that as a reveal that they used to be together, and they actually end up getting together again in the pilot. But I ended up cutting that scene because I felt like, in classicSuitsfashion, it’s better to have them yearning for each other than it is to have them being together. But basically, yes, they used to have a romantic relationship, they don’t anymore, and they’re going to go through the process of deciding if they want to again or not.”

What These Comments Mean for Rick & Erica’s Suits LA Relationship

The Duo Could Become The Spinoff Show’s Donna & Harvey

‘Will they-won’t they?’ relationships tend to go a long way toward adding drama and chemistry to shows, particularly with a diverse cast.Korsh’s comments suggest that Erica and Rick might have long, drawn-out romantic tension, like Harvey and Donna’s coupling, which took eight seasons to finally come to fruition. But it could be more in the vein ofRachel and Mike’sSuitsrelationshipof earlier seasons. Either way, the history between the two, and the fact there are seemingly still unresolved feelings, means the show will probably look to keep them apart for as long as possible.

Suitswas always a show that thrived on its characters’ interpersonal relationships, andSuits LAlooks like it is planning to carry on that trend.
