Baldur’s Gate 3contains multiple spells and abilities for summoning, expanding upon the basic party of four characters with new allies and entities. It’s a mechanic carried over fromDungeons & Dragons, though in this case, players have no need to worry about inconveniencing their DMs by filling the map with little critters. As a video game,BG3can account for many more summons that people can comfortably keep track of in a tabletop RPG, and that shows in the number of creatures that players can have in their party.

Exactly how big a party can get, however, isn’t immediately clear. Players have been experimenting with summon builds since the game’s launch, and many have accumulated pretty impressive armies of followers. The game doesn’t have a specific cut-off for how high the number of characters in one party can go, which leaves open the question:using every tool and spell the game offers, what is the largest quantity of creatures players can have as members of their group?
