What Flight Risk’s Quick VOD Release Means For The Movie
Its Home Debut Is Quickly Approaching
The draw of both Wahlberg as a star and Gibson as a director could bring about new interest.
Gibson and Wahlberg are both major names in Hollywood, their attachment to the action thriller movie making for what could be an interesting combination. Unfortunately, reviews forFlight Riskhave been mostly negative, citing repetitive action, uneven performances, and a lack of intrigue to the story despite how realistically it handles its premise. This isn’t the first time the director and actor have been attached to negatively-reviewed projects, but it is the first Gibson-directed filmwith a Rotten critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, standing at 29% as of writing.

Mark Wahlberg’s New Action Movie Ending Is A Rarity Among His 56 Movies
Mark Wahlberg has been in over 50 movies, and his character’s fate in the new action movie Flight Risk is a rarity in the actor’s career.
However, the movie still managed to drum up theatrical attention, earning more money than its production budget. While accounting for marketing and theater cuts means the film didn’t make a profit at the box office, that tune could change now that it’s coming home three weeks after its theatrical debut. The draw of both Wahlberg as a star and Gibson as a director could bring about new interest. It would also be helpful as the latter continues work on hisupcomingPassion of the Christsequel, which is poised to be his next big release.
Our Take On Flight Risk’s Approaching VOD Release
The Movie Can Make Up For Its Box Office Performance
Despite its disappointing box office,Flight Risk’s swift release on VOD means it has plenty of time to make up for its losses, potentially balancing out its theatrical performance. Although it’s not yet clear how popular its release on digital will be, the movie’s draws, like Wahlberg and Gibson, could be enough to solidify a strong at-home success story. However, that won’t be fully clear until the movie is available to rent and buy at the end of the week.
