8Trevor Works Remotely As A Financial Analyst (But He Lied About His Identity)
Trevor Is A Financial Analyst At Mahoning Capital
The pantless ghost reveals some pretty serious news in episode 4:Trevor has a secret job working remotely as a financial analyst. He explains to Sam and, inadvertently, Jay (who he refers to as"mom and dad”) that he got an identity on the dark web, allowing him to apply to an online job posting in his former field. Although Trevor is dead, his ghost power is that he can interact with the material world, giving him more options to interact with living people than his peers.
On the night of his death, Trevor dies without his pants on, because he lent them to a junior trader doing the"Run of Fun,“a hazing ritual that forced traders to traverse home to New York City from Woodstone Estate without their pants on.

Trevor was an up-and-coming stockbroker in the late 1990s before he died of a heart attack at Woodstone tied to recreational drug and alcohol use. Still, Trevor’s job is at risk. He explains to"the livings,“Isaac, and Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) that he was able to skirt the in-person interview by fibbing that he has ADHD, but that his boss is now demanding the team attend a mandatory in-person retreat, leaving Trevor at the end of his wits.

While Trevor’s team (Brett, Dave, and Maggie) congregate at Woodstone, Jay wears an earpiece to relay what Trevor wants him to say via Sam. Jay relays what Trevor wants him to say verbatim at first, but later veers from the plan when asked about the best restaurant in the city. The scheme, including Trevor scoring the job to begin with, shows how clever and resourceful the former stockbroker is.
6Isaac Changes His Appearance To Move On From Nigel
Is This A New Ghost Power?
One of the most outstanding elements of “The Work Retreat” is Isaac’s new hair. At the beginning of the episode,Sam reads Isaac an article called “Getting Your Groove Back After A Breakup.“Isaac is excited to make changes to put his breakup with Nigel in the past, but the article’s helpful hints are outside the realm of what he can accomplish as a ghost. For instance, the article suggests taking a trip, changing one’s wardrobe, enjoying a decadent meal, and meeting new people.
It’s unclear if Isaac is able to modify his appearance because he holds his ribbon, or if it’s some sort of new ghost power.

Moments later, Isaac saunters down the stairs wearing his curly hair down rather than in his usual ponytail. Isaac notes that he got the inspiration for his new style from the magazine article, which listed trying a new hairstyle further down the list. The debut of Isaac’s new hair comes with a more modern, albeit Southern, dialect, which is ridiculous but altogether hilarious. It’s unclear if Isaac is able to modify his appearance because he holds his ribbon, or if it’s some sort of new ghost power.

When Jay leaves the room a moment later, Brett, Dave, and Maggie discuss how they love Jay’s Michael Jackson, who is different from what they expected. Trevor’s colleagues thought MJ would be a lame septuagenarian, because Trevor had made dated,“cringe"references in their Slack chat.

When Sam, Jay, and some spirits come to console Trevor, he laments that he feels like a fool. Trevor hoped to relive his glory days and pick up where he left off with his new job. Trevor can hardly believe it when, in the next scene, he, Jay, and his colleagues perform the"Run of Fun"in Woodstone’s front yard. Trevor is ecstatic, delighting in the shared jubilee of his legacy, running and throwing his arms in the air as he jumps around. The cherry on the cake is that Isaac, with his long flowing hair, decides to join in the fun. The moment brings the story of Trevor’s death full circle, redeeming what happened when his friends left him for dead at Woodstone Estate.
1Sam Discovers That Pete’s Girlfriend Donna Murdered Her Husband And Fled To The Caribbean
Sam Proves Pete’s Girlfriend Is Real
To top off “The Work Retreat,” Sam proves that Pete’s girlfriend Donna (Allegra Edwards) is real. Sam reveals that she found some articles about Donna, but she is oddly standing next to the TV with the Paramount+ screen up, and clearly has something she wants to show Sass, Hetty, and Pete.Sam reveals that Donna murdered her husband and fled to the Caribbean, adding a dark twist to Pete’s season 3 love story.
Sam shows the ghosts an episode of “Vicious Vixens,” a fictional Paramount+ TV series, that dives into the murder.

The best part of the reveal is Sass and Hetty’s disbelief at how much drama their scheme has brought them, and Pete finding out that theydidspread the rumor about his hair being a Lego piece.
