While the manga has always been a weekly series interrupted by years-long hiatuses, it was revealed that going forward,it will be published irregularly in the magazine, most likely to relieve pressure and stress from the creator, Yoshihiro Togashi. However, the next few chapters will most likely follow a weekly publication, given how Togashi already shared that he completed some chapters and more and is in the final stages of completion.

A Shocking Narrative-Changing Plot Twist
The latest chapter was a bombshell chapter, to say the least. It started off by rewinding a bit and showing the conversation between Longhi, fifth Prince Tubeppa’s guard, and Kurapika as they formed an alliance. Longhi first revealed her Nen ability and then went ahead to reveal that she is Beyond Netero’s daughter, and she said she was one of many of his children who he manipulated and groomed into becoming soldiers and later on joining the factions of the Princes. Furthermore,he placed an extremely powerful curse on themso they would die and take a Prince with them.
Longhi also hypothesized thatone of the Princes in the Succession War is Beyond’s secret child, and her theory has some weight to it. This is a huge plot twist that changes the entire narrative of the arc, revealing that one Prince had the advantage decades before the Succession War even started. Longhi made up a Nen contract that requires a ceasefire between Woble and Tubeppa’s factions for one week, and it can be renewed the next Sunday. She also made an extra stipulation that if Kurapika could find out who Beyond’s child was, he’d get access to her ability, which could allow him to force someone into a state of Zetsu (inability to use Nen) for a week.
The contract was formed, and both parties agreed upon it, with this being the second Prince that Kurapika has allied with, the first being the third Prince Zhang-Lei. Meanwhile, in the holding cell Beyond Netero is in, the man is growing bored and after a minor and light-hearted squabble with Kanzai, he asks him if he could arrange a meeting with someone.

The Story Can Take Many Interesting Paths
As unpredictable as the current arc is, there are a few possibilities the story can take moving forward. Firstly, Beyond Netero’s request to meet with a certain person will be revealed, and after the reveal of his long-running plan, it could give a clearer picture of what he is going to do next and who his accomplice could be. Unless it is someone in the Zodiacs, his request will most likely be shot down given his extremely high security threat level.
Chapter #400 had many storylines working in tandem, so one of them may return in the next chapter. Nobunaga, Phinks, and Feitan will continue their hunt for Hisoka and proceed up to tier 2, Melody’s investigation into the culprit behind Kacho’s death will proceed, and Kaiser could meet up with Kurapika at the request of Melody and tell him the situation about Kacho. This would also be a good time for Kurapika to reveal what he has just learned and get an opinion from an expert in legal and justice ethics.
Hunter X Hunter Is Back and Better Than Ever
Fans were treated to possibly the best chapter in the arc so far after enduring almost 2 years of a hiatus.Togashi has not missed a beatand brought the series back in spectacular fashion, dropping a plot twist and introducing a new plot line. Furthermore, the art has become sharper and cleaner as well, with the line art, shading, and even the style changing a bit and making the characters more appealing. Chapter #401 was a great start to the new Hunter X Hunter and fans can expect more of this.
With 41 chapters under its belt so far,Hunter X Hunter’s Succession War arc has seemingly made all the preparations and buildup for the real stuff.
