WhileTheBrave and the Boldis currently in development as a live-action Batman movie starring a new Dark Knight and Damian Wayne’s Robin, DC Studios also hasDynamic Duoin the works as well. An animated feature starring two of Batman’s other Robin, this upcoming movie has the right ingredients to be something very special.
DC Studios recently had a “catch-up” day with the press, sharing new updates about ongoing projects and announcing some new DCU projects as well. However, one of the most exciting was regardingDynamic Duowith the confirmation of the movie’s writer and whether it would be in the main DCU timeline.As such,Dynamic Duohas definitely jumped up the list of my most anticipated DC movies.

Seeing as how the fourth Robin Damian Wayne is set to debut in live-action withBrave and the Bold, it’s likely thatDynamic Duowill serve as a prequel story, assuming the movie is indeed set in the main DCU proper.

Dynamic Duois being animated bySwaybox Studios, which specializes in puppetry mixed with impressive facial animation technology, resulting in a truly unique and captivating animation style. While it was originally believed to be part of the main DCU timeline, DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran claimed at the recent press event that they’re not yet sure whether the story will fit the DCU or will simply be an excitingElseworldsstory.Either way, they did confirm the film is officially in pre-production, and writer Matthew Aldrich is still attached to the movie’s script (which is very exciting).
