Developer HoYoverse has announced a new world boss update forGenshin Impact5.5 that will definitely help me and other players with future challenges. Version 5.5 is only a few weeks away from arriving as the action RPG moves further into its second half. The next update will bring forth several new pieces of content, including the playable characters Varesa and Iansan, both from the Collective of Plenty tribe. Though the leaks have already described their materials and kits, this should all be confirmed during theGenshin Impact5.5 livestreamset to occur on Friday, March 14.
The special event should also confirm the leaked new Natlan map zone and the related World Quests that will help guide the Traveler through the Great Volcano of Tollan and its surrounding area.Based on leaks alone, there is a lot of content that will be added to the game, especially when compared to the event-led Version 5.4, which has not had much to offer during its six-week period. While new content, per si, will be presented in the livestream, HoYoverse has already officially announced some changes, such as anupdate to Artifacts inGenshin Impact5.5.

Genshin Impact 5.5 Will Introduce A New World Boss Location Feature
Path Of Challenge Will Show The Entrance To Hidden Boss Arenas
According to an official Developers Discussion post made by the developer onHoYoLAB,Version 5.5 will add a new feature called Path of Challenge, which highlights the entrance to a world boss’ location in the game. As an example, the post shows theGoldflame Qucusaur Tyrant inGenshin Impact, who is hidden in an underground area in Natlan. With the new feature, players can open their map and select the boss. By doing this, they will be given the option to Track and Guide, which will create an icon on the map showcasing the main entrance to its lair.
Genshin Impact 5.5 Leaks: New Boss Combat Event Should Test Everyone’s Team Comp Strategies
The newest Genshin Impact 5.5 leaks have reported a new boss-centered combat event that should challenge your team comp-building strategies.
As seen in the post, this will be available if players have not yet unlocked the nearest Teleport Waypoint leading to the boss challenge. In addition to the marker on the map, the Path of Challenge icon will also be shown in the player’s HUD once its location is within view. Furthermore, the developer’s post explains that the tracking feature will only be available for some of the worldbosses inGenshin Impact, though it should be released for other bosses in future updates – including upcoming boss releases.

Boss Update In Genshin Impact 5.5 Could Significantly Enhance Exploration
Players Could Safely Approach New Boss Fights
While this function is somewhat simple and isn’t necessarily vital to locating these bosses, mainly because the game now has a Layered Map feature, it should prove to be helpful. Taking the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant as an example again, this boss’ lair has two entrances. The main entrance is through a tunnel southeast of the arena, while the alternative is through a hole in the ground above. The difference is that, if players enter from above, they will have to face the boss immediately, without unlocking the nearby Teleport Waypoint. This new feature should help players approach boss fights safely.
Depending on its location on the map, the Path of Challenge feature should help players locate thenew rumoredGenshin Impact5.5 world bosswithout having them drop into the middle of the arena, unprepared.

This is but one of the officially announced quality-of-life (QoL) updates for the update. Other QoL updates include optimization to quest-tracking on the map, changes to exchanges in the Serenitea Pot, and the long-rumoredsupport for controllers on Android devices. Version 5.5 is building up to be a big patch asGenshin Impactslowly moves closer to its next year with the arrival of Version 6.0.
