Disney Dreamlight Valleyis supposed to be a cozy, relaxing life sim, but some players are finding that some characters become annoying after a while. The title is full of delightful characters and familiar faces from beloved Disney titles, fromFrozentoToy Storyand beyond. But not all characters are equally loved by all fans, and some players wish that Disney would add a feature to mute certain characters at will.

ADreamlight Valleyplayer who goes bySeraiStormson Reddit points out that some characters seem to make the game “less relaxing” for them, and many fellow fans agree. Luckily, while there’s no actual way to mute characters, there is a workaround that lets players choose which characters they have to see around the Valley.

H2: Some DDV Characters Are Annoying, But There’s A Way To Silence Them

It Doesn’t Work In Every Case, But It’s An Option

The offending characters for SeraiStorms are Donald Duck and Vanellope, buta few other characters have the fans fed up. Usercelestialwreckagesays they hate having to hear Mike Wazowski tell the “same half of a joke over and over again.” Other fans dislike Goofy’s vomiting noises, Maui’s pec slapping, orWoody’s constant repetitionof the line “I bet your first friend was a toy.” RedditorShaySketchestakes particular issue with Simba’s dialogue, claiming he sounds “like that kid in college who never shuts up about his semester abroad.”

Luckily,vonn_vhas a fix that works a lot of the time (though not always). According to vonn_v,players are able to “banish characters to their homes” by opening the character list via the map. From there, they can click on the character they don’t want to see around the Valley. This keeps the characters confined to their home and makes it, so players don’t have to hear them anymore.

There are a few exceptions; players will still see the character when they eat at the restaurants orvisit Scrooge’s shop. They’ll also appear on the overworld when the player has an ongoing quest with them. Otherwise, though, this is an effective method to"mute" a character by removing them from sight entirely.

Our Take: Disney Dreamlight Valley Players Should Be Able To Choose Who’s In Their Valley

Not All Fans Love All The Characters In DDV

Once a character moves into the Valley, they’re there to stay.Dreamlight Valleyfans often express that theywish they could remove villagers from their valley, effectively picking and choosing which characters and characters' homes they have to see every day. Aside from being a potential nuisance, having to keep every character home can make the Valley feel cramped and leave less room for decorating. Some players areusing the floating islands in the new Storybook Valeexpansion as a way to “relocate” characters and their homes out of sight.

Players should be able to remove the homes of characters they aren’t fans of, but for now, the “banishing” trick is a good workaround. Disney has a great track record of listening to what fans want, so it’s possible that the option to “hide” a character’s home may be added to the game at some point. For now,Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers will have to continue finding creative fixes for these issues.
