He is a practiced necromancer and has a vast arsenal of spells, most of which can destroy an enemy from up to thirty feet away. Not only that, but Szass Tam possesses several magic items and allies outside of Thay, as many of his apprentices are also powerful Red Wizards.

They could try to find and interrogate one of his apprentices, as they could discover that Sofina was not the only one to venture outside of Thay. The group could also try to steal one of his magic items to use against him, adding another fun heist to the story. These focused plot points would further establish Szass Tam as a major villain, something Sofina was not able to do in the first film.
