Beatrice is in front of the Happy Birthday banner in Netflix’s It’s What’s Inside

People have been asking about that since Sundance, and I’ve been so shocked. I guess time will tell, but there are no firm plans to do a sequel at this point. I’ve learned a lot about the business aspect going into this movie. I can firmly say I am not a millionaire. People were texting me, ‘Oh, I guess next dinner’s on you!’ I was very naive and ignorant as far as how sales worked, up until now.

I think the idea that the film is sold by the people who paid for it makes sense, but that’s not something I think a lot of people necessarily realize. Even if you’re the writer or director, your deal is only as good as whatever you negotiate two years prior. I’m not trying to say this with any bitterness or anything, but I think it’s a misconception.

Could It’s What’s Inside 2 Eventually Happen?

The Ending Leaves The Door Open For More Body-Swapping Chaos

Theending ofIt’s What’s Insidereveals a major twist concerning Forbes, who was supposedly barred from college for bringing his underage sister, Beatrice (Madison Davenport), to a party. Contrary to what most of the group believed, Dennis and Beatrice had an ongoing romantic relationship, but him lying about their previous interactions and Beatrice consuming alcohol caused rumors to spread, and she was eventually placed in a hospital. Years later, she uses Forbes’ technology to switch places and get revenge, transferring Dennis’ money and manipulating others throughout the night.

It’s What’s Inside: What Really Happened To Beatrice At The College Party

Though the party story is initially just gossip, what really happened to Beatrice becomes crucial to understanding the ending of It’s What’s Inside.

Having become Nikki and escaping with the body swap device,It’s What’s Insideraises questions about Beatrice and her next moves, but suggests that she will continue switching. The ending also leaves the door open for other characters to return, since not everyone’s fate was clear. While Cyrus and Shelby landed back in their original bodies, the former was arrested for the deaths of Brooke and Reuben(in Maya and Dennis’ bodies), which Dennis framed him for. As for the others, Maya and Dennis wound up inside Brooke and Forbes, and Nikki became Reuben, seemingly leaving his bride-to-be alone.
