Staub added,“This version was meant to show that she has been in the void for a while and her costume has changed through wear and tear and fixes and adjustments.“While the costume sadly didn’t make it into the film, Staub revealed,“This piece will also be included in the upcoming The Art of Deadpool & Wolverine.”

Jennifer Garner’s Elektra Costume In Deadpool & Wolverine Explained
Even though Garner didn’t get to wear the costume from the comics, her new suit inDeadpool & Wolverineis already a big homage to the character. Given how it has been almost two decades sinceGarner’sElektramoviehit theaters, her new suit is clearly inspired by what she wore in the early 2000s, but a more evolved look. One major change is having a dark purple color scheme this time around, which is not Elektra’s color in the comics, though it’s likely due to Deadpool already being represented by red in this film.
It’s key to remember that the costume designers likely didn’t want to overdo the red color scheme given how Wade Wilson is the main character with red in this story - not to mention all theDeadpool variants inDeadpool & Wolverine. Having characters in costumes with varied color combinations is probably what they wanted to go for, especially when they had all the Void heroes join forces. In the end, when looking at all of their costumes together, especially for the final battle in the Void, it is a solid variation of suits featured together.

Given how it was alluded to that Elektra was sent back to her universe after the events ofDeadpool & Wolverine, there is always a chance that Garner could still get her comics-accurate costume in the future. WithAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Warslooking to supposedly have even more Marvel cameos than ever, this would be a proper time to have Garner’s Elektra back one last time, but with her traditional costume. Until then, the MCU audience can relive Garner’s performance as Elektra inDeadpool & Wolverine.
