What Sheldon’s Absence Means For Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage
Georgie & Mandy’s First MarriageCan Embrace Its Grounded Storytelling
The Big Bang Theoryuniverse’s storytelling willshift its focus towards Montana Jordan and Emily Osment’s charactersinGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. While it picks up a couple of months afterGeorge’s death, the couple and Baby Cece living with the McAllisters effectively separates them from the Coopers. That said, Meemaw, Mary, and Missy will make an appearance. Since Sheldon is in California, the series can get away with not featuring him. Admittedly, this is a big change to the TV universe that had put him at the center of its storytelling for 17 years.

Sheldon will be missed, but that also meansGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’s storytellingwill be more grounded. While science and pop culture were the main themes inYoung SheldonandThe Big Bang Theory, the upcoming project can focus on the family dynamics of Georgie, Mandy, and Cece, and how that impacts their other relationships. It’s a new approach to the universe, but consideringhow popular the familial aspect ofYoung Sheldonwas, it has a good chance of also becoming a hit, like its predecessors, despite its fresh premise.

Our Take On The Big Bang Theory Franchise Moving On From Sheldon
Sheldon DominatedThe Big Bang TheoryFranchise For 17 Years
Sheldon was an interesting charactermade better by both Parsons and Armitage. However, it’s time forThe Big Bang Theoryfranchise to move on from him. The latter seasons ofYoung Sheldonproved this, as the rest of the Cooper family was getting more compelling storylines compared to its supposed titular character. By then, the show had explored all aspects of Sheldon. Understandably, transitioning to a proper family sitcom withGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriageposes some risks. However, with largely the same team behind it as its predecessors, it has a good chance of also succeeding.
