American singer and songwriter Kane Brown took a break from the stage to try his hand at performing on the small screen for season 1 ofFire Country. Well before joining the procedural action drama for his exciting cameo appearance,Brown shot to country music stardom with a six-song EP released in June 2015. Fire Countrychronicles young convict Bode Donovan’s path to redemption via areal-world prison release firefighting program. Bode and a selection of inmates partner with the elite California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to put out massive fires and other tragedies that plague Northern California. By season 1, episode 18, entitled “Off the Rails,” the crew is called to the site of a train crash so disastrous it requires all hands on deck and then some. Brown’s cameo character,Robin, a train-hopping vagabond at the crash scene, volunteers to help the firefighters recover other victims.
The train Robin was traveling on collided with a bus full of high school students heading to prom. At first, the wayfarer appears to be a stand-up guy, assisting the crew with vital information about the crash and walking some injured teens to safety. However,as the episode unfolds, Robin seems more and more disreputable. As it turns out, Robin is part of a larger drug-peddling scheme and leaves Bode with a bag full of evidence in a twist ending that puts the recovering convict in a compromising positionforFire Countryseason 2.
