The New Generation of TMNT Can Talk to Each Other Telepathically

An impressive team ability used by Uno, Moja, Odyn, and Yi, the team is shown throughout this issue having full-blown telepathic conversations with one another whenever and wherever they please, withOdyn even coining the process as “mind-talking.”Using this ability to converse more easily as well as share “pictures” in their minds, being in constant communication while inside each other’s heads is the perfect way to show how close these turtles are to one another, assisting in forging a kind of bond the original turtle team could only dream of having.
Forcing the team to be more vulnerable and honest than they probably would be if they were speaking aloud, the closeness that comes with being inside someone’s head, especially a family member’s, underscores the familial themes and values that have been at thecore of TMNT stories for decades. Furthermore, the more this “mind-talk” power is fine-tuned, and Uno, Moja, Odyn, and Yi evolve as a family, not only will stealth missions be far easier to accomplish without needing to speak, but the tactical benefits alone during an intense fight could prove invaluable for the siblings moving forward.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is a multi-media franchise that began with Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s comics in the 1980s. Throughout the years, their comic books expanded to movies, TV shows, video games, and toys. Most notably, the animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ran for nearly a decade and has become a nostalgic staple of the ‘80s and ‘90s. Several other movies have featured the four anthropomorphic turtle brothers (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael), including the trilogy of live-action films in the ‘90s and the more recent movies Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and its sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
