While the scene is far from the peak of integrity, it doesdemonstrate that the Gendarmerie has a sense of compassionthat the Ginyu Force doesn’t share, even for other soldiers serving Frieza.

To the Ginyu Force, a mission was a mission, and their opponents were obstacles that needed to be taken out. This mindset they shared was what made them worthy of being Frieza’s elite warriors and set the villainous team apart from other groups in the franchise.
The Ginyu Force never displayed moral boundaries like the Gendarmerie did, even for other soldiers serving Frieza. In episode 67 ofDragon Ball Z, Ginyu trains lower-ranked soldiers to pose like the Ginyus. However, by the end,he tells them all to “run for their lives”and ruthlessly throws them one by one far out of the scene, unimpressed by their performance. For Ginyu, strength, obedience, and style were all that mattered, leaving no room for compassion.
