Netflix’s ever-so-popular anthropomorphic anime,Beastars,has finally revealed its first full trailer for its upcoming final season along with a release date for fans to look forward to. First announced back in July 2021, thethird and final season of Paru Itagaki’sBeastarsis coming to Netflix this Winter, putting an end to the three-year-long wait at last.

A post on X by the anime’s official X handle recently confirmed that part 1 of thefinal season ofBeastarswill premiere on Netflix onDecember 5, 2024. The announcement was accompanied by a new full-length trailer featuring the ending theme for the series titled, “Feel Like This” performed by the up-and-rising Japanese pop artist Yuka (best known for her hit debut single, “Baby You”). That said, the final season will be split up into two parts, but a release date for the second part is yet to be revealed.

BeastarsReveals Ending Theme Artist and Additional Cast Members

In addition to the new release info and trailer,Beastarshas also revealed additional cast members for the characters of Gosha, Yahya, Melon, Sagwan, and Seven. Gosha, a gentle Komodo Dragon and aspiring Beastar will be voiced by Shigeru Chiba who is best known for voicing Jogo inJujutsu KaisenwhileYahya, a righteous horse and current Beastar, is set to be voiced by Shinichiro Miki, also known for his role as Urahara inBleach.

Koji Okino, who also voices Tetsutetsu inMy Hero Academiawill be voicing ​​the ever-so-mysterious Melon, while Tessho Genda has taken on the role of Sagwan, a spotted seal. Lastly, Seven, a merino sheep, will be voiced by Fumiko Orikasa who also famously voices Rukia inBleach. Safe to say, the final season has quite a stellar cast with the original main voice cast also set to reprise their respective roles.

Additionally, Yuka, the artist for the ending theme has also provided a comment on being able to perform the ending theme for the series' final season which reads:

I am extremely happy to be in charge of the ending theme for “BEASTARS FINAL SEASON” Part.1. When I was approached and asked to finish the lyrics in English, I thought it was a great honor. For me, English is like a second heart. After much thought, I wanted to send to BEASTARS a cry from the heart, “I just wanna feel like this till I die,” set to a straightforward melody. I hope it will be a cheering song for Legoshi and the others who are pushing forward while burning their lives, and for you.

Beastars' Final Season Has Big Shoes to Fill As the Series' Conclusion

Beastars' final season is expected to pick up the manga from chapter #100 onwards kicking off the Interspecies Relations Arc followed by the Revenge of the Love Failure Arc which will likely be split between parts 1 and 2. Though it is yet to be revealed how many episodesBeastars' final season will have, the series should be able to satisfactorily adapt the remainder of the manga in two whole cours.

Fans can only hope that the anime takes its time with the story asBeastarshas been nothing short of spectacular so far, and it would be a shame if the series' final season were to fall short. Nonetheless, the final season is sure to have plenty of drama in store and, luckily, there isn’t all too long until its premiere this Winter.
