Some may feel the feature is more a gimmick than anything else, but at the very least Niantic is planning on expanding it even further with extra Pokémon to fight and capture.
Per the officialPokémon Goblog, Niantic confirmed thatSword & Shieldstarters Scorbunny, Sobble, and Grookey will appear as Dynamax Pokémon from October 1. The trio will be accompanied by Falinks who will feature in three-star Dynamax Battles while the others will be available in one-star Battles. What’s perhaps most exciting is that because Scorbunny, Sobble, and Grookey all have evolutions, these stages will also be able to Dynamax, meaning players who want to build a team dedicated to bringing down the towering Pokémon have even more options; Falinks, on the other hand, does not have an evolved form.
