What This Means For The Monkey
It Could Start A Trend For NEON
The MonkeyjoiningLonglegsin NEON’s Top 3 could potentially lead the production and distribution company to pursue even more horror. While not every recent genre outing of theirs has been a hit at that level (their roster also includesCuckoo,Infinity Pool, andImmaculate), the success of two consecutiveOsgood Perkins moviescould build up their reputation as a purveyor of solid horror offerings. While they are also behind the upcoming non-horrorStephen KingtitleThe Life of Chuck, which could similarly be a hit,a major shift in the predominant genre of their output might not be surprising.
