Omega’s firstStar Warsappearance was inThe Bad Batch’s premiere, “Aftermath.” It was unclear at the time just how pivotal of a role she would play, not just in the series, but in the overallStar Warsfranchise. The animated TV show has since revealed plenty about why Omega is so important, and how her story ties into other modernStar Warsprojects, includingThe Mandalorian. Omega Is One Of Only Two Pure Clones Of Jango Fett
Omega & Alpha (Boba)
What makes Omega extremely special is that she’s one of only two other pure clones ofJango Fett, the DNA template for the entire clone army. The first is, of course, Boba Fett, as explained inStar Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Cloneswhen the clone troopers were first introduced. It’s unknown exactly when Omega was created, butshe does indeed carry a pure sample of Jango’s original DNA, aside from the mutation that made her a female clone rather than a male, like Boba.
How Old Is Omega in Each Season of The Bad Batch?
One major question that was never answered in The Bad Batch was when Omega was born—but we just figured out how old she was throughout the whole show.
This made Omega highly valuable to the Kaminoans after the events ofAttack of the Clones. Because of Jango’s untimely death, the Kaminoans had a limited supply of Jango’s pure DNA, with no easy way to get more. Both Boba and Omega were limited sources the Kaminoans could borrow from, but Boba was fairly MIA after his father’s death, with him seeking revenge against Mace Windu for most of the Clone Wars era. Omega, all the while, was restricted to Kamino, where she remained for the entirety of her early life - until the galaxy changed drastically.
Omega Worked As Nala Se’s Lab Assistant Until The Republic’s Fall
The Kaminoans Kept Her Close
Omega was, in a way, to Nala Se as Boba was to Jango. Nala Se was extremely proud of Omega’s creation, and so she did whatever she could to protect Omega and keep her close, which included using Omega as her lab assistant on Kamino for many years. This is why Omega’s never seen in otherStar Warsproperties outsideThe Bad Batch;Omega was not only busy helping Nala Se, but she was also too valuable to the Kaminoans to be wandering out in the open for too long, especially on her own.
This, of course, didn’t last forever. When the Clone Wars ended andOrder 66was enacted, things began to change quickly, especially on Kamino. TheGalactic Republicfell and became theGalactic Empire, and Omega’s life was transformed forever. Upon Clone Force 99’s return to Kamino, Omega was eager to finally bond with the unique clones whose creations she had witnessed, and this helped to guarantee her safety when things on Kamino grew dangerous. After being imprisoned by shocktroopers, Clone Force 99 came to her rescue, and Omega finally separated from Nala Se and Kamino.

She Became A Formidable Warrior
From then on, Omega remained with Clone Force 99, who quickly became her own family. She grew exceptionally close with Hunter, and the feeling was mutual as he grew extremely protective over her, and the rest of his squad followed his lead - aside from Crosshair, whose activated inhibitor chip dictated that he remain with the Empire instead. While Omega was with the Bad Batch, she learned many things from them, but above all, she learned how to become a formidable soldier.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is an action-adventure animated series set after the events of The Clone Wars, following Clone Force 99 (a.k.a. the Bad Batch.) Finding themselves immune to the brainwashing effects of Order 66, the Bad Batch become mercenaries for hire while outrunning the empire, now seeing them as fugitives of the law.
Thanks to both the harsh realities of survival and a wide variety of different mercenary jobs completed on behalf of a Trandoshan named Cid Scaleback, Omega not only watched her brothers in action, but she also participated whenever and however she could. Omega already had a wide range of impressive skills, most notably a knack for strategy that she proved by winning countless rounds of dejarik,but those skills were harnessed into power and capability that grew the more that Omega trained with her brothers. Eventually, she was strong enough to stage her own rescues, rather than vice versa.
Omega Was Hunted By The Empire For Her M-Count
She Was Instrumental To Project Necromancer
These rescues became necessary when Omega was suddenly hunted by the Empire. Initially, Omega was sought out by the cruel Doctor Royce Hemlock simply because he needed a way to make Nala Se comply with his cloning experiments. This worked for a time, butwhen Omega’s blood sample was taken and tested one day, Nala Se told her to escape. Omega was able to do so, getting both herself and Crosshair, who was also trapped in the same laboratory prison on Mount Tantiss, far away from the planet Wayland. That test would change everything for the young clone.
Omega’s test revealed that her blood was able to retain a highmidi-chlorian count, or M-count, without degrading the specimen - which essentially means thatOmega herself had a fairly high M-count. Given Nala Se’s warnings, it’s likely that the scientist designed Omega specifically with this M-count. Hemlock, whose experiments on Tantiss were the earliest days of Palpatine’s resurrection plan,Project Necromancer, then sought out Omega once again to experiment with her blood. With the help of her brothers, however, she was able to free herself and her fellow young captives.
People with high M-counts tended to be Force-sensitive, though having a high M-count could not guarantee that someone could wield the Force.
Omega Is Now A Part Of The Rebel Alliance (& Likely The New Republic)
She Carries On The Legacy Of Her Brothers
After being freed from Tantiss, Omega lived in peace on the island of Pabu with her brothers. After many years spent there, however, Omega knew that there was more work for her to do. Despite Hunter insisting that she ought to stay safe,Omega asserted that her brothers had fought their war, and it was time for her to do the same. Now much older and even more formidable than before, Omega flew off to join theRebel Alliance, where she was likely reunited with her old friend,Hera Syndulla.
