Summary

Not only didThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdommore than double the size of the original map of Hyrule fromBreath of the Wild, but the game also added plenty of new recipes, weapons, and armor sets for the player to hunt down and customize. The Fuse power gives the player almost limitless optionsfor what they can do to customize their weapon, and the Zonai technology expanded on a rarely-explored piece of the game’s lore.

Reddit useraguynamedsteveshared a look at their Link cosplay done for Otakon, detailing the new archaic set introduced in the Nintendo sequel. This new armor set was one depicted in most of the marketing materials forTears of the Kingdombefore the game released, and though there’s no option to upgrade the set in-game, it’s still an incredibly well-loved look.

Accompanying the incredibly detailed armor set is a full set of batteries to charge Zonai devices,as well as more than oneSundeliontucked neatly into the pouch attached to the set. The cosplayer’s right arm glows similarly to Link’s in the game, making it an incredibly detailed and accurate rendition of the iconic set.

The iconic protagonist is known to be quite reserved, but it’s possible to determine Link’s approximate age in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Strong Zonaite Spear Is A Rare & Powerful Weapon In TOTK

The Cosplay Beautifully Recreated The Rarely-Seen Weapon

Not only does OP’s cosplay feature the underrated set, but it also beautifully brings to life theStrong Zonaite Spear, a weapon that is rarely recreated forTears of the Kingdomcosplays. Though it’s not entirely clear which item was recreated as the fused blade for the weapon, the final result has a similar glowing effect to the weapon in the game, which was done using a combination of laser cut and etched acrylic with LED lights giving it the color at its base, according to aguynamedsteve’s comments.

The Strong Zonaite Spear (and all other Strong Zonaite variations ofZelda: TOTKweapons) is a bit harder to find than its basic counterparts. It has a higher durability and base power than theZonaite Spear, though that also means it’s a bit more difficult for players to find. Players have reported finding the Strong Zonaite Spear on the Lomei Labyrinth Island – and those looking to complete the compendium will want to snag it to ensure they have all the needed entries.

A Perfect Zelda TOTK Farming Location May Have Deeper Lore Implications

The Lord of the Mountain can leave Satori Mountain in TOTK, but its expanded role has significant implications for the rumored tribute.

Though the Strong Zonaite Spear is stronger than its basic counterpart, players can obtain an even more powerful version of the weapon from the Smithing Construct. TheMighty Zonaite Spearis only obtained from this construct, and costs 30 Zonaite to purchase once the player has defeated the Seized Construct in the Spirit Temple. Only once this foe has been defeated will the Smithing Construct agree to trade with Link.

Though the archaic set cannot be upgraded and, therefore, isone of the least-powerful armor setsinThe Legend of Zelda:Tears of the Kingdom,it’s still an incredibly well-loved set. The above recreation of the set and the Strong Zonaite Spear are incredibly detailed and pay a respectful homage to the new items added in the sequel game.
