Pokémon GOis once again gearing up for its (somewhat) annual fashion week event, complete withnew stylish Pokémon and some great bonuses.Pokémon GO’s Fashion Week eventdebuted in 2020 and has occurred almost every year since, though the days and length of the event have fluctuated each time. There also was no Fashion Week event in 2024, as it was delayed due to other events.

These events are the perfect time for trainers and Pokémon alike to strut their stuff in fun new outfits. Even those not entirely sold on the Fashion Week theme of the event do have some good reasons to play during this time. Not only are there new Pokémon and exclusive items, but there are also some generic bonuses likeextra Stardust from catching Pokémon. Some fresh new tasks also mean a chance to earn some extra XP for participating.

All Ditto Disguises In Pokémon GO (January 2025)

A new month for Pokémon GO means new Ditto disguises - here’s everything you need to know to prepare for the January 2025 event from Niantic.

As a nine-day event,Pokémon GOFashion Week 2025 is the longest of these events yet. Previous Fashion Week events ranged from four to seven days in length, with the previous event in 2023 being the shortest. Possibly, this isPokémon GO’s way of making up for not having a 2024 Fashion Week.

There are also new one-star and three-star raids happening during Fashion Week. One-star raids include Shinx and Minccino wearing fashionable costumes and normal versions of Furfrou. Three-star raids feature dressed-up versions of Butterfree and Dragonite, the latter of which looks very dapper with sunglasses and a bow tie. All the new raid Pokémon for this event have the potential to be Shiny.

2025’s Fashion Week event will also be the debut of two Pokémon. Both Minccino and Cinccino will be available in fashionable costumes for the first time, in both Shiny and normal versions. Though this is less exciting than a brand-new Pokémon, it’s still fun to get new versions of existing ones.

Fashion Week Event Bonuses

Players Can Earn More Stardust And Candy During Fashion Week

Aside from the new Pokémon encounters, you will also have a chance to earn some bonus rewards while playing during Fashion Week. AnyPokémon caught during Fashion Week will give you twice the normal amount of Stardustthat they normally would. Additionally, if you are level 31 or higher, you are twice as likely toget Candy XLfrom any caught Pokémon.

Because Stardust serves the dual purpose of helping to upgrade Pokémon and to trade, it’s a valuable resource. Getting twice as much during Fashion Week is a nice reward for any player. Candy XL is also an important resource, especially for higher-level players. Pokémon cannot reach any level higher than 40 without being given Candy XL instead of normal Candies. Since the level cap is now 50, players will be significantly behind if they can’t get their hands on some XL Candies.
