Pokémonis going to SoCal for its nextPokémonWorld Championships. Over the weekend, The Pokémon Company hosted the 2025PokémonEurope International Championships (EUIC), itsannual international tournamentfeaturingPokémontrainers from across the globe. As with otherPokémontournaments, thePokémonEUIC featured major competitions for thePokémonvideo games and thePokémoncard game, with popular Internet personality Wolfe Glick emerging victorious in the Masters video game tournament.

To close out the competition,Pokémonrevealed additional details about thePokémonWorld Championships. The event, set to take place from August 15th to August 17th, will be a special invitation-only competition to determine the top trainers across multiple games.

The Pokémon Company revealed a first look at the special artwork for the event, featuring Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Machamp, and several other Pokémon going on a road trip to California in an “electrifying” yellow convertible. Additionally, The Pokémon Company will open up spectator ticket registration next month, with interested fans signing up to be entered into a random lottery.
