Rebecca Ferguson joins the cast of the movie adaptation ofThe Magic Faraway Tree.The film is based on the classic children’s novel of the same name, the second book in a series of four by author Enid Blyton.The stories take place in an enchanted woodwhere a giant, magical tree grows so tall that its tallest branches reach the clouds and so wide that there are houses carved into its trunk. The film will follow Polly (Claire Foy) and Tim Thompson (Andrew Garfield) as they relocate to the remote English countryside with their three children, who find the tree.

Deadlinereports that Ferguson has joined Foy and Garfield for the adaptation ofThe Magic Faraway Tree, which will be directed by Ben Gregor.
