Recently resurrecting this Spider-Man x Carnage character on Instagram, Christian (@christianperera_) is a creative talent who has run the gamut dressing as some of the most popular characters across nerdom, dabbling in the worlds of comics, video games, television, and anime to great effect.
Designing and wearing costumes that see Christian slip into the shoes ofDragon Ball’s Cell,Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero, Marvel’s Green Goblin and Doctor Doom, DC Comics’ Cyborg and Black Mask, and at least a dozen more, this Spider-Carnage outfit falls in line with Christian’s previous efforts, proving his skills as one of the community’s best creators.

A hybrid character introduced in 1996’sAmazing Spider-Man #410, by Tom DeFalco and Mark Bagley, this issue acts as part two of the epicWeb of Carnageevent that sawBen Reilly’s Spider-Mantaken over by a Cletus Kasady-less Carnage symbiote, creating the terrifying character known as Spider-Carnage. Terrorizing New York City while under Carnage’s influence, Ben is eventually able to shed his alien tormentor thanks to the efforts of the original Spider-Man, Peter Parker, after Pete uses “microwave projectors” to force Carnage out of Ben. Unfortunately, this led Carnage to immediately re-bond with Cletus, reforming this murderous villain.

There are few serial killers more sadistic and brutal than Carnage, but he’s taking that sadism and turning it towards a community that deserves it.
