To that end, several nods and connections to the greaterStar Warsuniverse are made, including a dark parallel between Jod and Darth Vader himself in 2005’sRevenge of the Sith.
As was seen inSkeleton Crewepisode 6, Jude Law’s Jod was apprehended by his old pirate crew on Skull Ridge Mountain after betraying the kids. However, he did manage to convince the crew not to kill him until he could prove that he had found the location of Tak Rennod’s legendary treasure. Meanwhile, the kids themselves successfully recoveredThe Onyx Cinderand are finally on their way back home to At Attin.With that in mind, here are the biggest Easter eggs and references to be found inSkeleton Crewepisode 7 as the two groups clash.

Mirroring Anakin and Order 66
Jod threatening Wim, Neel, KB, and Fern with his newly acquired blue lightsaber very much mirrors Anakin Skywalker’s attack on the Jedi Temple during Order 66, specifically when he corners the younglings during the purge of the Jedi Temple. There’s even a particular frame where it’s just the kids and the blade, just like inRevenge of the Sithwith the newly christened Darth Vader.
A Classic Star Wars Line
Although the arrival of the security droids cuts her off,everyStar Warsfan knows what Neel’s mom was going to say. Before she’s stunned by the droids,Neel’s mother almost says the classicStar Wars"Bad Feeling" linewhich has been heard time and again across the saga.

Brutus refers to At Attin as a “treasure planet” inSkeleton Crewepisode 7, a term manyStar Warsfans have been using already, thanks to all the similarities the show’s plot has with the animated Disney film of the same name. As such,Brutus actually saying “treasure planet” further cements the parallels to the classic Disney movie, a massively underrated cult favorite particularly among millennials (this writer included).

“The endless storm” over At Attin brings to mind other planets such as Kamino or the tempest planet Everonwhich was once the homeworld of Marchion Ro. Ro was the leader of the Nihil during theHigh Republic Era, a group of marauders who became major threats to the Republic and Jedi Order.
9A Familiar Pirate Snub Fighter in Skeleton Crew Episode 6
First Seen in The Mandalorian Season 3
Brutus' crew is shown piloting various snub fighters, many of which are the same design as the ones seen under the command of the late pirate captain Gorian Shard inThe Mandalorianseason 3. This does track, seeing howShard’s second-in-command Vane survivedThe Mandalorianseason 3and has been shown working for Brutus inSkeleton Crew. Perhaps he brought some of the snub fighters with him.
A Call Sign With Legends Connections?
The Quarren volunteer who flies through At Attin’s maelstrom refers to himself with the call sign Ravager One. This may be a connection to the Ravagers, a pirate gang from Legends located on the planet Rishi who first debuted inStar Wars: The Old Republic: Shadow of Revan.Likewise, the planet Rishi was featured in the first season ofThe Clone Wars.
7Jod and Brutus Arguing
Sounds Kinda Familiar…
Jod and Brutus arguing about the crew and their loyalty does feel very much likeJack Sparrow and Barbossa bickering about the captaincy of theBlack Pearl, especially inPirates of the Caribbean: At World’sEnd. Likewise,it’s perhaps not a coincidence that their respective names share the same first letters as theirPirates of the Caribbeancounterparts.
6Satellite Defense Grid in Action
Not Unlike Palpatine’s Operation Cinder
With a similar satellite network having been seen decommissioned around At Achrann in previous episodes ofSkeleton Crew,the active satellite defense grid seemingly generating the storms around At Attin mirrors the weather-manipulating satellites used by the EmpireduringPalpatine’s Operation Cinder. Operation Cinder was Palpatine’s brutal posthumous orders to strike at various worlds as punishment for his demise, which culminated with the Battle of Jakku.

At Attin is seemingly revealed to be an artificial box system, a term first used in Timothy Zahn’s canonicalThrawnnovelsto describe a planet and system that’s very hard to access with very few points of entry. More naturally occurring box systems includeStar Warsworlds such as Kessel, Lasan, Tanalorr, and most notablyPalpatine’s secret Sith world of Exegolwhich was hidden in the Unknown Regions behind a collection of hyperspace anomalies known as the Red Honeycomb Zone or Blood Net.
