Star Warssurprisingly just dropped a major hint forAhsokaseason 2 in an unexpected way, revealing brand-new details about one of the fan-favorite characters on the show.Ahsokaseason 2is one of just a few currently confirmedupcomingStar WarsTV shows, and there’s plenty of interest already regarding what the new season will include, particularly given how many major questions remain followingtheAhsokaseason 1 ending. This includes questions about what will happen with Shin Hati, Sabine Wren, and Ahsoka Tano, all of whom are now trapped on Peridea.
Star Warsjust dropped significant hints about what Shin Hati’sAhsokaseason 2 story will entail, however. In a recent announcement published byStar Wars, news that the bookStar Wars: Women of the Galaxy, written by Amy Ratcliffe, would be getting an update included the following excerpt about Shin Hati:

“Seemingly doing the opposite, Shin teams with roving bandits on Peridea and resumes her hunt for Sabine and Ezra. Without Baylan to temper it, Shin’s impulsiveness could lead to challenging scenarios on the far-flung planet where she is stranded.”
This excerpt fascinatingly confirms thatShin will be back on the hunt for Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger inAhsokaseason 2, mysteriously teaming up with bandits on Peridea—but it isn’t yet clear why.

Shin Intends To Continue Her Hunt For Sabine & Ezra
This Is Opposite Many Popular Ahsoka Season 2 Theories
Prior to this announcement, the prevailing theory regarding Shin Hati’sAhsokaseason 2 role was that she would be teaming up with Sabine Wren and Ahsoka Tano, perhaps even being trained by Ahsoka alongside Sabine. This theory largely stemmed from the dynamic between Shin and Sabine inAhsokaseason 1, as it was easy to see how Shin and Sabine could grow to respect and even work with one another. Some viewers went so far as to say they could see Shin and Sabine becoming friends.
Is Ahsoka About To Break The Jedi Code? This Thrilling Star Wars Theory Is Perfect For Ahsoka Season 2
This brilliant Star Wars theory suggests Ahsoka season 2 could see Ahsoka Tano making a major change to the Jedi code—and it would be incredible.
This was a particularly believable theory because Shin has been effectively abandoned by her master, Baylan Skoll, leaving her potentially more open to joining up with Sabine and Ahsoka (especially because she is now trapped on Peridea as well). Evidently, that theory is far off from whatAhsokaseason 2 will actually see for Shin Hati. Instead, Shin will remain committed to her quest to track down Ezra and Sabine, and, while Ezra is now back in the mainStar Warsgalaxy, Shin very likely will end up encountering Sabine again.

It Looks As Though We’re Going To See More Sabine-Shin Fights
Although This Is Different From What Many Thought, This Is An Exciting Prospect
While some may be disappointed because they wanted to see a Shin and Sabine team-up inAhsokaseason 2,it’s thrilling to know that Shin and Sabine will likely go toe-to-toe again. While Sabine is still relatively inexperienced with the Force and therefore wasn’t among the best duelists inStar Wars, it was still exciting to see Shin and Sabine face off. Presumably, Sabine will also be growing in her abilities with Ahsoka’s training, so perhaps the next battle between the two will be even more epic.
No matter the arc for Shin Hati inAhsokaseason 2, I couldn’t be more excited to see where this show goes next. TheAhsokashow represents completely unexplored territory inStar Wars, and it is focused on some ofStar Wars’best characters. While Shin Hati will evidently be hunting down rather than teaming up with Sabine Wren inAhsokaseason 2, it will be thrilling to see the next steps in herStar Warsstory.
