How To Use Nix’s Distract To Takedown Enemies

Positioning & Timing

To use Nix to distract enemies inStar Wars Outlawsfor takedowns properly,hold the Nix Mode controland select theposition away from an enemy to the opposite side you’re facing. For example, if you’re hidden in cover to the left of an enemy, you’ll want to position Nix to their right. Press the command to “Distract.” Then, as your merqaal friend goes to “put on a show” as Kay would say, foes will turn and divert themselves well away from you.

Using Nix in Star Wars Outlaws to distract an enemy for a stealth takedown

Nix will distract an enemy for roughly 10 to 15 seconds. At that time, while crouching, sneak behind an enemy close enough for you to see the melee prompt (X on Xbox, Square on PS5, and V on PC).
