As a result,fans can expect episode #21 to air on June 19, 2025, at 8:30 AM PT/11:30 AM ET.Do note that as a result of its release being so close to the Japanese premiere, the episode will initially be available only in Japanese with subtitles. The English dub is about 3 weeks behind the subtitled version at the moment, meaning fans can also expect that episode 18, the recap episode, to be the next one dubbed.

Rimuru Throws A Massive Banquet
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimeepisode #20 opened with Rimuru hosting a feast for all of his most important guests, including kings and empresses from around the world. He started them off with sushi prepared by Hakuro, which was embraced wholeheartedly by otherworlders like Hinata and Yuuki Kagurazaka, while those native to this world were a bit hesitant–especially because the meat came from a monster fish. However, they soon tried it and discovered a love for Tempest’s cuisine by the time the full course meal came out.
There was, however, a bit of a situation with one of Milim’s guardians, who decried the preparation methods used to cook this feast. Shuna, who prepared much of the food for this event, took this a bit personally, but made a passionate plea towards the man to at least give it a try. Shocked by the flavor, he soon took back his words. The next day, Rimuru gave a speech about his intentions and plans for Tempest, inviting any who might want to live there to join them. Rimuru’s former students, who were listening to the speech, seemed a bit shocked to finally realize that Rimuru really is a king.

The Long-Awaited Festival Can Finally Begin
Episode 21 ofThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimeis entitled “Nation’s Opening Festival,” and will at last see the festival that the season has been build towards begin. Based on chapter 111 of the manga, fans can expect to see Rimuru giving new jobs to some of his top subordinates, particularly Shion, Benimaru, Soei, and Diablo. He’ll also meet back up with his students, asking Hinata to guide them around the festival and generally watch out for them.
Up first for the festivities should be a concert, where in the manga they play various anime theme songs with an orchestra, intermixed with classical music. Shuna and Shion will also have a special duet performance, showcasing a hidden talent of theirs which Rimuru (and fans) are only just learning about. This chapter should also see the arrival of Luminus Valentine to the proceedings, bringing in yet another extremely important figure to the festival. Fans can also expect a scientific presentation, showing off the progress that Rimuru’s academics have made in researching his special potions.
With the festival finally kicking off for real, it shouldn’t be long before the epic battles within the arena begin, bringing a dose of excitement towards the festivities. It will be interesting to see some ofThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’s most powerful figures clash in the coliseum, so hopefully that will begin soon.
