The trailer begins by introducing the picturesque island in the Black Sea where the movie takes place, highlighting the intensity of the hatred that the young girl’s father (Dafoe) displays toward the creatures that plague the island.

However, she finds a way to communicate with the baby Ochi by putting in false fangs that mimic its species and thus embarks on an adventure that puts her at odds with everyone around her, as showcased bya sequence where the Ochi is spotted in her backpack in a grocery store, causing a general panic.
