Directed by Jon Watts, who previously helmed Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, the series was a thrill because of how quickly Bridges' character could leap into action. Kaiya Shunyata, writing forRogertEbert.com, says that aspect is not season 2’s strong point: “It works better as a drama than the espionage thriller it seems desperate to be.”
