Cleménce Poésy’s Neuromancer Is A Perfect TWD Replacement After Daryl Dixon Season 2 Killed Off Isabelle
Poésy Replaces An Old Franchise With A New One
In 2022, Clémence Poésy was announced as part ofDaryl Dixon’s cast, joining theTWDuniverse. At that point, theWalking Deadfranchise had three TV shows and been on air for 12 years. With the main show ending, Poésy was joining at an uncertain time for a franchise that was banking on several spinoffs to succeed. With Isabelle dying in season 2, however, Poésy is able to move on to other projects, likeNeuromancer. While her character didn’t have a major role in the original novel, there are also two sequel novels, paving the way for the upcoming show to span several seasons.
Neuromancerwas largely credited with saving the cyberpunk genre, becoming a very important piece of literature. Apple TV+ has shown that it is dedicated to bringing science-fiction works to the screen properly, withThe Foundationbeing a stellar example. After several studios tried and failed to get aNeuromanceradaptation to see the light of day, Apple TV+ seems to have cracked the code, finally bringing the classic cyberpunk story to life.

Why Daryl Dixon Season 2 Was Wrong To Kill Off Cleménce Poésy’s Isabelle
Isabelle and Daryl Deserved More Time Together
ThroughoutThe Walking Dead, Daryl is shown to have many female friends, but only had a relationship with one: Leah. Despite questions aboutDaryl’s relationship with Carol being romantic love inThe Walking Dead, his only established relationship was with Leah. It didn’t last very long, with Daryl struggling to choose between her and his community and Leah eventually dying. Isabelle was Daryl’s first relationship since, allowing the character to move on. Isabelle even told Daryl she loved him in season 2, giving him a serious relationship for the first time.
Daryl Dixon Season 2 Death Is A Worrying Sign For The Walking Dead’s Best Spinoff
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon just had its biggest death so far, and it could be a potentially damaging mistakes for the spinoff’s future.
Isabelle’s death inThe Walking Dead: Daryl Dixonfelt lackluster, with Losang stabbing her and leaving her to bleed out. Despite getting a chance to say goodbye to Daryl, her death didn’t seem to affect Daryl that much, with the character quickly moving on to protecting Laurent. Killing her off ends any chance of Daryl being happy with her and feels like a waste of her character. Despite her dying to protect Laurent, her demise felt rushed and could’ve had a more serious impact in future episodes. Hopefully, her new role inNeuromancerwill handle her character in a fairer fashion.
