While Peacock’sTwisted Metalsets up a whole new slate of confirmed characters, many other video game characters deserve to appear in the new season, too. As a fan of the Twisted Metal games, one of my biggest questions when they announced the Twisted Metal TV show was how they would flesh out the story. Ultimately, in many ways, season 1 featured as a prequel. They featured greatcharacters from theTwisted Metalvideo games in season 1while also worldbuilding and introducing us to John Doe.

However, theend of Twisted Metal season 1sets up the demolition derby for season 2, which offers the perfect opportunity to add many more characters from the games. The additions I’m most excited about are Calypso, Axel, and the real Raven. However, many others who haven’t been featured yet deserve to appear in season 2, whether that’s because of their fun personalities or their benefits to the narrative.

The Demon Behind The Twisted Metal Tournament

The Peacock show has already given thefirst glimpse of Calypso as in Twisted Metal, both of whom have supernatural powers in the games. If the show plans to lean fully into his wish-granting abilities, then Black should also show up.

The way that he gets his abilities varies depending on the game. In my favorite origin story for his powers, Calypso siphoned powers from the demon Black to grant the wishes of the winners of the tournament. The fact that he can have control and power over a literal demon makes him a more terrifying villain than him having a ring to grant wishes.

9Mr. Ash

A Leader Of Hell Who Wants His Demon Back

Although Calypso was included at the end of Twisted Metal season 1 it wasn’t clear how far they would go into the supernatural territory, but Calypso and Mr. Grimm arenew characters in Twisted Metal season 2. Plus, the first trailer teases paranormal elements with the clip of someone’s soul getting sucked out. Since it looks like they’re going full force in that direction, Mr. Ash deserves to appear in the second season as well.

Depending on the game, Mr. Ash is either a higher-level demon who created demons like Black, or he’s actually Satan. Although I’ve heard that David Jaffe confirmed the latter in an interview, I couldn’t find a direct source to confirm this. Either way, it would be interesting to give Calypso a powerful adversary. He could also be an unlikely ally of John Doe and Quiet.

Sophie Kane, aka Sweet Chick, in Twisted Metal (2012)

8Sophie Kane

Sweet Tooth’s Resurrected Daughter

Sweet Tooth is, by far, my favorite character from Twisted Metal season 1. Samoa Joe and Will Arnett did a great job bringing him to life, and I’d love for the show to continue to feature him heavily. A great way to do that would be to introduce Sophie Kane/Sweet Chick, his daughter from Twisted Metal (2012).

Twisted Metal Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Story, Trailer & Everything We Know

The TV series adaptation of the video game Twisted Metal hit Peacock in 2023, and here’s everything we know about its explosive second season.

Since Sweet Tooth wasn’t imprisoned for killing his family in the Peacock show, they wouldn’t be able to give her the same origin story without retconning season 1. However, they could make her the child of a fling from the asylum. I want to see how this version of Sweet Tooth handles having a teenage daughter who he can’t control. Plus, Sophie Kane is an interesting and cool-looking character with a lot of personality.

7No-Face

A Boxer Whose Eyes And Mouth Are Sewn Shut

InTwisted Metalseason 1, episode 2, Sweet Tooth revealed that he used to live with a “real solid group of dudes,” at which point the camera panned to his Blackfield Asylum uniform. ThisTwisted Metal Easter eggsets up the potential introduction of No-Face, another person at the asylum, in season 2.

No-Face’s horrifying appearance would tie well into the dystopian, post-apocalyptic tone of the Peacock show. It’s disturbing enough to look at in animated form, but the character in live-action would add suspense and horror to the story. The Twisted Metal TV show also hasn’t shied away from making social commentary, so his medical storyline would fit perfectly.

6Quatro

The Weirdest Character In The Twisted Metal Games

I would never have considered Quatro as a character that should appear in theTwisted MetalTV show if it weren’t for the brilliant comment made on r/TwistedMetal by the userIIIBAKURYUIII, who sold me on the idea. In the first season, John Doe talks about extraterrestrial beings. Because of this conversation, the thought of Quatro showing up is hilarious. Plus, he would be a great addition because of the sheer bizarreness of his character.

That being said, Peacock’sTwisted Metalwould have to give Quatro and his vehicle – which is also a spaceship called Quatro – a post-apocalyptic appearance that fits into the style of the show. Moreover, I’d hope that Quatro would only appear in one episode, like Granny Dread, rather than appearing throughout the entirety ofTwisted Metalseason 2.

5Petunia

A Drag Queen Milkman Who Was Underutilized In Twisted Metal Season 1

Other characters who deserve to appear in Twisted Metal season 2 didn’t show up in season 1 at all, but Petunia lands on the list because she’s vastly underutilized. The video game of the character from Twisted Metal 4 is a caricature of a drag queen that feels stereotypical, but the show’s version of Petunia, played by Alexa Milano, is so much fun.

Twisted Metal: 5 Things We Want to See in Season 2

Peacock’s Twisted Metal TV show successfully introduced the video games' storyline to a new audience, but there are some things they need to expand on in season 2.

Sadly, she only appears in Twisted Metal season 1, episode 7, “NUTH0UZ.” I’d love to see her return in season 2 as a contestant driving her purple hot rod, and the car’s flamethrower would be a fun addition to the demolition derby.

4Rob Zombie

AlthoughTwisted Metal IIIandTwisted Metal 4are the only games not made by David Jaffe and Scott Campbell, they did introduce one fantastic element – Rob Zombie’s music. The musician has become synonymous with the game franchise in many ways. Additionally, in Twisted Metal 4, they added the celebrity as a racer in the game.

As a fan of both the music and character, I will never stop pushing for Rob Zombie to appear in the Peacock show. His character is undead, which makes him the perfect choice for the second season’s introduction of supernatural elements. Unfortunately,Zombie probably won’t appear in Twisted Metal season 2, no matter how much he deserves the cameo. Hopefully, the multi-hyphenate musician will find time in the future for an appearance.

3Kelly

Raven’s Witchy Girlfriend Who Gets Murdered

Ifthe real Raven appears in Twisted Metal season 2, as the trailer hints that she will, then Kelly also deserves to at least make a cameo. The first season makes reference to her with the bar name in New San Fransico, but the witchy teenager deserves to appear onscreen. She’s one of the NPCs with the most interesting personalities, and her distinctive appearance would be fun to update with a post-apocalyptic twist.

Plus, David Jaffe confirmed during an interview withVee Infusothat Raven and Kelly were in a romantic relationship with each other. It would be nice to see that canonically depicted onscreen rather than leaving their relationship ambiguous, like in the game.

2Mortimer Scharf

A Racer Who Wants Revenge For The Lost Souls

Like many characters that deserve to appear inTwisted Metalseason 2, the version of Mortimer Scharf that I’d like to see in the show is a supernatural being who wouldn’t have fit in season 1. However, he’s a perfect addition to the cast that the show’s adding non-human elements.

Twisted Metal Season 2’s Axel Teases Makes Me Confident That The Show Will Do The Character Justice

Twisted Metal season 2’s trailer teased the introduction of Axel, and I’m certain they’ll do the character justice when the show returns to Peacock.

In Twisted Metal 2, Mortimer helps lost souls rest by getting revenge on their killers for their deaths. The end of Twisted Metal season 1 introduces the tournament as if it’s not the first go-round. If competitors have already died in past demolition derbies, Mortimer could join the show with the same goal of getting revenge on Calypso.

1Minion

A Demon Who Drives A Tank

One character that consistently pops up in the early Twisted Metal games is Minion, a demon from hell who drives a giant tank. My desire for Minion in the Peacock TV show has less to do with him as a character and more to do with his epic character and car design.

The Twisted Metal TV show has proven itself capable of depicting many characters from the video games who are challenging to get right. If they can find a way to make Axel work onscreen, I can’t wait to see what they do with Minion. Hopefully, they either give him an appearance inTwisted Metalseason 2 or set him up as a character if Peacock picks up season 3.
