Every year, Games Workshop grows its two signature franchises,Warhammer 40,000andWarhammer: Age of Sigmarwith new miniatures and new lore. Some of these miniatures are brand-new units, while others are refreshes of classic characters or units with new sculpts and builds. While these miniatures are meant to be used in gameplay, many fans enjoy building and painting them for display and hobby purposes.

As part of their year-end celebrations, Games Workshopheld a pollto determine what were the best Warhammer miniatures of the year. Warhammer: The Old World brought back the classicWarhammer Fantasysettingin early 2024, withGames Workshop re-releasing dozens of classic miniatures alongside a handful of new miniatures.Necromundaand theHorus Heresygames also received votes, with the Malstrain Alpha mini representing the former and the Thousand Sons Librarian Consul and Alpha Legion Saboteur Consul representing the latter.

Games Workshop spread out a lot of love between its core and side games this year, with bothWarhammer 40KandWarhammer: Age of Sigmargetting great new miniatures.

More fun is on the way in 2025, including refreshes of the Aeldari, some new Gloomspite Gitz models, and a new set of Death Korps of Krieg models, all set to be released very soon.
