In addition toDisney Dreamlight Valley’s enjoyable story, perhaps one of the most important features for players is the ability to completely customize their world. Unfortunately, one common eyesore for players is the way they’ve been forced to organize their item collection, but oneStorybook Valeitem may have just solved that problem.
Although everyone has a slightly different way of doing it, most players typically manage their inventory with chests and display tables. The display tables, while efficient, aren’t the most aesthetically pleasing, but with no better option, they became the default.Storybook Vale, however, has introduced a new item that might just be the perfect replacement: Display Bubbles.

Display Bubbles Make Managing Items Easier Than Ever
A New Way To Showcase Items In Chests Presents Players With Options
As part ofthe newStorybook Valeexpansion, there are plenty of new items to buy, collect, and craft. One of the new craftable items is that of Display Bubbles, of which there are four size variants, starting from small and going all the way up to extra large. However, despite the name, the small and normal Display Bubbles are the same size, it’s only their position when placed that is different.
Which Disney Dreamlight Valley Characters Are Being Teased For 2025?
Disney Dreamlight Valley isn’t showing any signs of slowing down in 2025, with a number of free updates already teasing new characters.
Once placed, the small and normal-sized Display Bubbles hover off the ground and offer a space inside where an item can be placed. That being said, only the small and normal-sized ones hover just high enough on the ground to allow them to be placed above chests, with the small bubbles being considerably higher in the air. This is a huge deal when it comes to organizing inventory, since it presents players with something they didn’t have before; options.

Rather than having to occupy space with tables behind every chest, players now have the option of using these Display Bubbles to display what’s inside a chest right above it, minimizing the room that’s required for storage organization. This allows players to make the most of their space, get rid of all the ugly tables, and design something that doesn’t have to sacrifice appearance in favor of functionality. There is one caveat, however, they have an action allowing you to pick up the item inside.
Which Disney Dreamlight Valley feature has completely improved your gameplay?
I tend to keep up with every developer update that Disney Dreamlight Valley puts out, and I love it when I end up using a feature that I didn’t expect to be helpful. I was over the moon about being able to leave my house from any floor rather than going back downstairs constantly. When this was added, I had just moved my storage chests from the Plaza to the third floor of my home, and I spent two weeks getting annoyed with having to keep getting on and off the lift.
While this isn’t a deal-breaker for utilizing them for storage, it could cause frustration among some players as it can be rather easy to accidentally collect the item in the bubble when moving quickly, rather than opening the chest. However, most often, there is no need to pull specific items from inventory as cooking and crafting automatically utilize them straight from storage, so the only time this might be a problem is while increasing stock or retrieving a specific item for a quest.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Is Prioritizing Aesthetic Organization
Recent Updates Prove Disney Dreamlight Valley Is Making An Effort To Merge Design & Functionality
While the Display Bubbles aren’t a perfect solution, they are just another example of the wayDisney Dreamlight Valleyis prioritizing designfor its players. Other prime examples include the customizable signs and mannequins that were part of another recent update from earlier in the year. Organization and decorating are major aspects of gameplay for some players and, for a long time, they were forced to sacrifice one for the other.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Bug Has Fans Laughing Hysterically As Their Dresses Take On A Life Of Their Own
Some Disney Dreamlight Valley dresses seem to take on a mind of their own while flying and reveal a bit more than was probably intended.
However,if this is any indication that the developers are hearing what’s important to players, then it’s likely better functionality and customization are coming in the future. It’s possible we could even see these improvements in the upcomingupdates fromDisney Dreamlight Valley, which will hopefully continue to offer new customizable ways for players to optimize their inventory. Specifically, in ways that add to the overall design of a space, rather than detract from it.

Some Of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Design Features Could Still Use Some Work
Despite Steps Made In Recent Updates, Some Design Aspects Are Still In Need Of Improvements
Despite all the new design and customization featuresDisney Dreamlight Valleydevelopers have brought to the game since its release, several aspects could improve the players' overall experience and will hopefully be considered in future updates. The customizable signs, for example, were a great stepping stone in organizational design, but still limited, allowing players only to create a general indication, such as vegetables or fruits, but no specifics.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Finally Adds A Much-Needed Feature Fans Have Been Waiting For
Dreamlight Valley’s next update is introducing a few quality-of-life improvements and a new Star Path, but one new feature is particularly exciting.
Since most players already section off areas, or even rooms, with this in mind, the signs, while nice, don’t serve much functional purpose. However, if they were to offer unique icons for specific items, such as a specific gem, this would not only add to the overall design of a space but improve the functionality of the object. Furthermore, if the chests themselves had the option to label them, this would greatly minimize the extra clutter needed to help maintain stock organization.

All The Best Disney Princess Outfits In Disney Dreamlight Valley & New Ones You Can Expect Soon
Disney’s iconic princesses aren’t strangers to Dreamlight Valley (with more coming), and each bring incredible outfits inspired by their films.
Regardless of what could still be improved upon, it’s still great to seeDisney Dreamlight Valleyacknowledging that design is importantto players and offering them new ways to design their spaces. Even if some players opt to keep the traditional table display method, it’s nice that there are increased options available for those who would like them, anda good indicator that we may continue to see more changes like this in the futureofDisney Dreamlight Valley.
